I was accepted a few weeks ago, but I never figured out how to get on the status checker.

Did anybody else get a handwritten note from Dean Z? I thought that was a really nice touch on the admission letter.

They're testing you, seeing if you break before you get a status checker. Because if you can't handle waiting for the checker, you'll be doomed once you get one and have to wait for a decision

Lolz. It wasn't like the other status checkers. I get bored easily.

that's totally fine. I got the same email, told them I'm working as an administrative assistant at a magazine and I got in early October. You should be ok, I think they just want to make sure you aren't like, selling drugs for money. Take it as a good sign!

I really hope this bodes well for me too. It'd be way awful for them to say they liked my application, ask about my present activities, then reject me.... not that this is an impossible scenario.

I did Optional Essays 1 and 7, which I believe were the "Why Michigan" one and the one about bringing diverse perspectives to the Michigan Law community.. And thanks!!

Sarcasm? I don't think they incorrectly enter applicants' information into the admitted students' website 50% of the time (hope not!)

But congrats to all that are in, I can't wait to meet everyone, and thanks TLS for all the great app advice. Mich was a huge reach for me!
