Apparently they don't appreciate some of our neurotic tendancies.

So, has anyone who got a Decision on 11/24 not gotten anything in the mail yet? Besides me that is?

Yes, I'm in NYC and I still haven't gotten my decision from 11/24. I refuse to call.

Re: Cornell waiting room
I applied to Cornell, but got into my first choice school, so I withdrew last week (if I was accepted, I wanted somebody else to, in theory, get that EA acceptance). They confirmed my withdrawal, but I just checked my status check today to make sure, and it looks like they sent me a decision on 11/25 anyway.
Judging by this thread, it looks like that's probably going to be a deferral, right? Too bad they wasted the paper.
Anyway, good luck to all of you!

California. Still, it's good to know that some NY people from the 11/24 batch haven't heard yet. Gives me some small ray of hope, lol.

I was just "researching" on LSN - even though a lot of people technically had decisions made on 12/2 last year, it looks like their status checkers didn't change to decision until 12/5. Then it said "Decision made as of 12/2" or something.
DAMN.

Damn you and your research. I will continue to obsess over the status checker until I MAKE it change to decision.Kiersten1985 wrote:I was just "researching" on LSN - even though a lot of people technically had decisions made on 12/2 last year, it looks like their status checkers didn't change to decision until 12/5. In all seriousness, welcome, and good luck. But be advised, people's moods have been swinging wildly around here.

Re: Cornell waiting room
same thing happened with the 11/24 decisions which were deferrals. People didn't see the status checker actually change until about the 27th, which then stated DR on 11/24Kiersten1985 wrote:I was just "researching" on LSN - even though a lot of people technically had decisions made on 12/2 last year, it looks like their status checkers didn't change to decision until 12/5. Why is my status still "EA Complete"??!! I think my date is 10/15...
Are they supposed to render a decision by the end of Dec for EA applicants?

Yup -- which is why you may have 29 lovely days of waiting left. Oh, and that assumes that you don't get your decision the morning of the 31st, and have to wait for your letter to be delivered to you 10 to 14 days after that...Apple Tree wrote:Why is my status still "EA Complete"??!! Relax. About mid-December is when most ED decisions should roll down the pike.

Are people expecting status check acceptances to be like last year where there is a blurb about the admitted students site underneath your decision? Or is the status checker simply going to say "Decision" and then you find out what the decision is 10-14 days later by mail.

That blurb was an IT mistake, no? So, I wouldn't count on it.march319 wrote:Are people expecting status check acceptances to be like last year where there is a blurb about the admitted students site underneath your decision? Atleast someone at Cornell has some compassion for us applications (even if they are only in the IT department).SHARK WEEK! wrote:That blurb was an IT mistake, no?
