I'm thinking something along these lines.Helmholtz wrote:Have you chosen a frame yet for when your letter arrives?oneforship wrote:That's a lot of postage.Helmholtz wrote:I guess that would make 14 of us.

Maybe I can cut and paste some acceptance letter text onto their letterhead.
Edited for frame change.

See, the strategy is to apply RD with poor numbers/no expectations! Really makes it easier
I do feel for the ED folks, though. Here's hoping you all hear good news soon.

And just think, a decision could come any second that would completely alter the course of your life. It's already the 15th of December and still no word. I've heard of people's decisions going out at all times of the day, even after the admissions office has closed, so it really could be any time now. Gah.

Re: Columbia 2010
Anybody have any theories as to the order they make decisions? The people who were accepted in week #2 didn't necessarily apply later and didn't appear to be less qualified than those accepted in week #1.

It seems to me like they're going from the easiest choices and moving towards the more difficult ones, I don't see a trend in completion date.GlobeTrotter wrote:Anybody have any theories as to the order they make decisions? Re: Columbia 2010
Well, if you assume that high numbers make an easier choice, and lower numbers a more difficult one, I'm not so sure. In week 1 they accepted a 171/3.67 and a 171/3.78 and in week 2 they accepted a 172/3.71 and a 173/3.61.
Edit: Also, there are some high number ED applicants that have no been accepted yet

They also rejected a 173/3.9 who applied ED last year. I think with CLS ED, it seems like the numbers get your foot in the door, but they can easily pass you over if they don't like/are ambivalent about the whole package.GlobeTrotter wrote:Well, if you assume that high numbers make an easier choice, and lower numbers a more difficult one, I'm not so sure. One LSN applicant from last year claims to have been deferred ED from CLS but accepted to HLS (http://lawschoolnumbers.com/ClashCityRocker)
