Just got the scholarship feeler e-mail. Anyone have suggestions on how to respond? Is it too early to let them know about other scholarships I've received thus far/anyone know how much weight scholarships from not T-14 schools hold?

Just came here to ask about this email. GULC is very much at the top of my list, alongside Berkeley, but I'm wondering if it's better not to say that I'm that interested in order to get more money? Or I should say I'm really interested? They also ask how much funding would help which seems very strange. Like....all of it? Would love a discussion about how to respond!

edit: also wondering about other offers. I have only gotten offers from non T14 schools, and I am waiting to hear about offers from schools ranked higher than GULC. Not sure what of this to mention!

Did ya'll get your scholarship-feeler email? The language is "If you are interested in being considered [for a scholarship], please respond to this e-mail by Monday, February 6th. Although there is nothing additional that you are required to submit at this time, the Committee encourages you to tell us such things as where Georgetown fits into your thinking and what level of funding would make a difference in your decision."

What is the polite way of saying, "Will not be attending but I would like you to give me a lot of money for me to show other schools?"

I think that is the correct response. It'll work for sure! *cough* why not just tell the other schools you got into S? I think that would hold more weight than a GULC scholarship *cough*

Got my alumni interview scheduled for next week, and the interviewer works somewhere really cool and seems lovely.

Has anyone stayed in contact with their interviewer afterwards, or is the interview more of a quick screening to make sure we're not horrible people? I'm already in the city I want to practice in, and they could be a great contact down the road.

I also got my feeler e-mail and since, as a January applicant, I don't have any other T-14 (or even T-25) acceptances, I just went with brutal honesty. I explained the realities of my financial situation (I am older so I am an independent student) and my hopes and fears related to law school funding. Reading between the lines, I think I made it clear that funding is my number one consideration.

FYI I met with admissions when at the Open House last week and they explicitly said they come in waves. I wouldn't worry too much if you didn't get today's email, but you could probably take initiative and email them if you haven't heard by mid-March?

Took a stroll through last year's forum. Most of the people who mentioned the scholarship feeler email said they would ask for a full ride. I feel like that seems a bit aggressive, but then again I don't know their stats.

Also looked at scholarships input into LSN for the past three years. The amounts offered to applicants with similar numbers varied a lot. Perhaps this is due to the amounts they initially requested?

Tldr; still not sure how to handle the email. Any insight is appreciated.

Group interview applicants week of 1/23, anyone heard back (either via email, ASW trick, or letter)? I want to prepare myself for whatever news is coming haha
