Even if you're 3+ years out of undergrad?
I have a feeling if you're that far out, you're fine! Sadly I'm just 2 out, so I'll need to figure out an alternate who can do a quick turnaround :|

Unless you're 5+ out, I think so.
That's just me though.
I guess I'll head to campus tomorrow and Friday with my resume, ps, and transcript and talk to some old professors.

It's the home town school and I have lots of connections here in Atlanta, so I will be applying to Emory too.

I mean, maybe consult with someone who knows better than me first
Either way it won't hurt to go down there. If I can get one, great. If not, I'll roll with what I have.

Most schools seem to be pretty ambiguous. They just say something along the lines of "If you are several years out of undergraduate and have difficulty securing academic letters of recommendation." My personal view is that if you can get one, great, but it won't kill your chances if you submit 1 academic 1 professional, especially if they are very strong recommendations.
I kept hoping someone would tell me that.

What kills me is that I took a law class as an undergrad with the prof I can't get a hold of. And apparently she told one of my colleagues (who's a law school pal) I was the best student she's ever had. :( Y won't she reply.
