From my experience, and generally what I've read, it appears that they emphasize the second score. I had an increase of 6+. I think someone earlier in this thread said an increase of 5+ meant CLS wouldn't average, and they cited the dean.eas49 wrote:For ED applicants with multiple scores -- how have you guys been faring? Re: Columbia 2010
I got my deferral letter in the mailbox today, postmarked on Thursday.
I'm kinda shocked that I was deferred and not rejected outright. Maybe I'll give it a week or so and decide about sending out a LOCI along with my grades the last week of December or so.

How many early decision people are there left on here who haven't got a decision?

I haven't received anything. I haven't posted on the thread yet, but I've been reading. You guys keep me entertained while I sit at work counting down the hours until I get home to check the mail. This is getting pretty painful

from what ive heard, if your score improves by 6 or more points, they take the higher score. if not, they average..... dont take my word for it though

+2 Its gotten to the point where I'm even disappointed when there is nothing in my mailbox, just because I want to be free from this stress.colonelforbin wrote:+1trc332 wrote:Another EDer with no response here
Also, does anyone else find it odd that they email acceptances but mail everything else? I'd feel even worse after getting deferred/rejected in knowing that a tree died to help bring me pain

If it makes you feel better, the amount of paper that comes from one tree brings pain to many people not just one person so a tree died PARTIALLY to help bring you pain.LaurenGayle wrote:+2 Its gotten to the point where I'm even disappointed when there is nothing in my mailbox, just because I want to be free from this stress.colonelforbin wrote:+1trc332 wrote:Another EDer with no response here

I spent all day cramming for finals at the CLS student lounge, which also serves as the reception area for the admissions office. I was probably sitting within 20 feet of all y'all's applications, all the while wondering, "why do these kids want to subject themselves to this?"
Seriously though, good luck! Law school sucks at times, but CLS is a great place for it.

Not getting in, but I'd like to know and get closure. Leaving the country tomorrow for a month though - so I guess I'll just have to let the absence of an email stand in for a rejection.AngryAvocado wrote:+1gmail wrote:Another ED applicant with nothing thus far.

Re: Columbia 2010
Still nothing here. I am abroad and asked them to e-mail me any decision. They said they will make a note in my file but can't make guarantees. I plan on calling home as soon as 10am hits EST, I'll let you know if anything came for me back state-side.
The worst part is my NU interview is next monday, I just want to know whats happening since I have to fly there and back for it and would like to spare the expense on the off off off and at this point OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF chance they let me in. Sigh. I want it so bad.

Alright, so there are a dozen of us ITT who have checked in w/no decision. Hmmm.....it will be interesting to see how this plays out. I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of us hears good news at some point this week.GlobeTrotter wrote:Add me to the listHelmholtz wrote:Makes nine of us who have checked in so far I think.AngryAvocado wrote:+1gmail wrote:Another ED applicant with nothing thus far.

I'm assuming you counted me in this, but just in case I haven't heard anything yet either. Hopefully you're right, and someone does get some good news this week.Helmholtz wrote: Alright, so there are a dozen of us ITT who have checked in w/no decision.
