When I called the admissions office to get clarification on what to do and if this would delay my admission decision, she said, "Nope. That part is all done." I'm confused. Has anyone else been asked to do this while waiting for a decision?
Do schools have a quota of in-state seats? Maybe they want to finagle you into one of those. Either way, sounds like good news...
I emailed admissions to get clarification on the situation and got a nice response from the assistant director of admissions. He basically insinuated that I was a borderline candidate and they wanted to know my official residency status before they made their final decision. I'm taking it as a good sign that they want to know for sure that I would be eligible for in-state tuition. I can't imagine they would make me do all of this if I was definitely getting rejected. Who knows; I'm just going to wait (more! haha) and see what happens. Has anyone else experienced this?
When did you go complete?

I was admitted 2/2 and got my physical letter yesterday 2/8. For those who heard about scholarship information, when did you get it comparison to email decision and physical letter?

I also got in today and am very excited! I submitted three months ago, went complete over two months ago, got one of those thanks for the patience emails, and had given up hope. So for those long-waiters keep up the hope your acceptance could be coming!

Long time lurker checking in. Admitted last cycle via waitlist deferral, starting at UM this summer. Happy to answer questions for anyone that gets waitlisted (those decisions should start rolling out soon).

Congrats to everyone with offers!

Quick question - for those of you who have already received scholarships, are you summer start admits or regular?

Super long-term waiter here as well. It is nice to hear that the long wait can end in good news, though I am not at all hopeful about scholarships at this point.

Yeah I can't provide any assurances there but I am still holding out hope that they give something cuz I have decent numbers. I will post if I hear about scholarship money to provide hope. I hope you get some good news your way soon though!

Does anyone have any info on how much tuition is projected to rise over the next few years?

LST shows tuition increases for schools over the last five years. With the caveat of course that past doesn't necessarily reflect future, but that's probably a pretty good proxy

Hi! If you don't mind, could you please share your stats? I got that "we're still deciding about you" email and would love to see what kind of numbers the most recent admits have. Thank you!

Recently, it's been by a couple thousand dollars or so each year.

Question: Michigan states in their merit scholarship offer letter they do not negotiate and/or adjust their award amount. Is this true or is it just trying to preempt some people from trying? Has anyone tried it so far this year>

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
