Re: Michigan Law c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015)
To answer my own question: In recent years, the lowest number of waitlist offers was 8, the high was 83, and the average is 37 - According to the FAQs, the waitlist is keep small enough so that the admissions staff can get to know each student personally. Looks like a visit to Ann Arbor might be in order...

Right there with you. I got NYU, but other than that this cycle hasn't been what I hoped. I'm thrilled to have that one, but the cycle hasn't met the expectations mylsn brought.NoBladesNoBows wrote:Another waitlist. Starting to get very very concerned about all of this as mylsn, lawschoolpredictor, and lsac predictor all gave me good chances, and seem to have all been incredibly unreliable up to this point. Don't know what to do at this point.
But yes, that was definitely the first WL email that made me feel slightly better after the initial devastating disappointment. But only slightly :-/

It's a weird cycle. I've been waitlisted at 29%, 67%, and 80% chance schools (mylsn) and accepted at 13% and 14% schools.universityof wrote:Right there with you. You have a 180 on the LSAT right? What were the 13% and 14% schools you got into?fra wrote:It's a weird cycle. edit: didn't realize it was in your profile. That is quite an amazing cycle! I wonder what your scholarships will end up being.

Also waitlisted today. 25<GPA>50 50<LSAT>75 so I felt like Michigan was a bit of a reach anyways.

Waitlisted via email. GPA < 25 LSAT > 75. This is an ugly cycle for splitters.

In general. I don't have hard numbers but the impression I'm getting is that lots of splitters with numbers that should be admits based on LSN are getting rejected and/or waitlisted, especially from the middle of the t14.NoBladesNoBows wrote:Do you mean in general, or more specifically for Michigan?rationalhound wrote:Waitlisted via email. Did y'all get the WL email at the same time or is it a trickle? Wondering whether I've survived.
