Yes, be forewarned. TLS will hate on you if you come to HLS. It probably isn't worth it.

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
So I looked at the old thread and saw that there was a JS1 wave on December 24th last year (in the morning), and from earlier in this thread someone mentioned there was a JS2 wave last cycle on December 23rd.
My prediction is that we'll get two more JS1 waves: (1) Monday, Dec 15th (or if not today then Friday Dec 19th), and (2) Monday Dec 22nd.
I also think we'll have two waves of JS2s on consecutive days before the break, but I'm not sure when. I want them to happen this week, but my baseless speculation is that they will be on (1) Monday, December 22nd and (2) Tuesday, December 23rd.

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
To the extent that it's useful (which the jury is out on), per LSN, last year's second wave of JS2s was 12/18/13-12/20/13 (equivalent of this Wed-Fri), and continued 12/23 and 12/24 (Mon-Tue). That was the final round of decisions before the end of January (a few on 1/23, the rest in early Feb).

I wonder if this means they're prepping for a JS2 wave this afternoon (i.e. getting JS1s out of the way so they can call/email later). This is the first time we've seen such an early JS1 wave this cycle, no?jimmymac wrote:JS1 just now! pm for stats

Or it could just be that some of the slots are tomorrow morning. It would be sort of late to notify at 5pm and expect people to interview at 10 the next day.DetroitRed wrote:I wonder if this means they're prepping for a JS2 wave this afternoon (i.e. getting JS1s out of the way so they can call/email later). Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
If I can indulge in some baseless speculation, I think JS2's will come out next week. They had quite a few interviews last week and will possibly have 49 this week. I imagine they'll all need to sit down as a committee to talk about candidates before they make the final calls, and I don't see how that could fit into their schedule. As of now, they have Friday, next Monday, and next Tuesday clear, which should provide plenty of time to look over candidates one last time. Also, they don't gain anything from giving out JS2's today. They might have talked about some candidates last week, but those candidates can surely wait another week before dropping their deposits elsewhere.DetroitRed wrote:I wonder if this means they're prepping for a JS2 wave this afternoon (i.e. getting JS1s out of the way so they can call/email later). Congrats to the new JS1s! Just 13 slots left open this week as of right now, in case anyone's curious (and I'm sure they're being taken). Seems likely this is the last JS1 wave before the holiday break.

I mean the earliest JS1s (not me) interviewed 11/4-6...I have to think that they've had plenty of time to discuss those applicants by now. I think you're probably right about next week being the time for calls though.HorseThief wrote:If I can indulge in some baseless speculation, I think JS2's will come out next week. My sense (hope) is that JS1s are still not dropping for completes later than 11/20 - can anyone disconfirm this?

Not disconfirming this but there were people that received JS1s 4 days after going complete so I don't see why not...Kobaine51 wrote:My sense (hope) is that JS1s are still not dropping for completes later than 11/20 - can anyone disconfirm this?
