I think you should call and demand it. And if they don't give it to you, withdrawaldsn32 wrote:Damn, kinda wish I'd have gotten the deferred 50k/yr deal haha.

Anyone in for the AJD program? Sorry if this the wrong thread, didn't find the one for AJD specifically.

Yes. It blow so hard that they give us our accepances last. If I had applied for the RD progam they probably would have given me an answer by now. But we start 3 months earlier and don't hear until Feb.teiswei wrote:Ayemohanster wrote:Anyone in for the AJD program? Sorry if this the wrong thread, didn't find the one for AJD specifically.

Well I guess its a ding for the rest - since they send out decisions at once. Was really hoping to get into the AJD program, didn't have the numbers though.

Your "aye" made it sound like you were "in" as in accepted. Not in as the other poster meant it.teiswei wrote: What do you mean?

I mean they have probably gone through all the AJD apps and sent out the acceptances via email. For the rest, the decision will be on the status checker and mostly it'll be a rejection or a WLteiswei wrote:fruitoftheloom wrote:Yes. It blow so hard that they give us our accepances last. I doubt this view. Considering the deadline was Tuesday and no one on here or LSN has claimed to be accepted AJD, I would guess they will all happen at the end of this month. We will see.mohanster wrote:I mean they have probably gone through all the AJD apps and sent out the acceptances via email. Sorry, no. I applied AJD and just in complete status. I misread the original post.mohanster wrote:True story.shntn wrote:Your "aye" made it sound like you were "in" as in accepted. Not in as the other poster meant it.teiswei wrote: What do you mean?

To chime in - I haven't heard of any AJD acceptances/denials and Johann hasn't tweeted that any went out. I think they're still reviewing the applications.

Does NU have a reputation for matching scholarships or negotiating aid? I didn't see anything on their site, which makes me assume they don't

NU is a little odd. They tend to give fewer scholarships, but bigger ones. I know there are other schools that explicitly say they won't match NU's awards.WhiteyCakes wrote:Does NU have a reputation for matching scholarships or negotiating aid? I'd suggest reading through last year's thread around March-April, and seeing if anyone mentioned being able to negotiate. I honestly can't remember.

From what I have seen, NU is pretty cheap overall, but as rink said, they do give a few huge awards. really though what's the harm in trying? The worst thing they can say is no.WhiteyCakes wrote:Does NU have a reputation for matching scholarships or negotiating aid? I didn't see anything on their site, which makes me assume they don't

Headed to my off-campus interview today. feeling a little nervous, but this thread/the Regulus interview thread have made me feel a little more at ease. Wish it was over coffee or something instead of in the interviewer's office. It's increasing my jittery level

I was able to find some info on the website (3rd question from the bottom)Icculus wrote:From what I have seen, NU is pretty cheap overall, but as rink said, they do give a few huge awards. really though what's the harm in trying? Sounds like you can ask, but they don't have anything formal set up

Good luck to us both!
ETA: Just went complete, even though I haven't even had the interview yet. Submitted everything else the last week of November. Odd...

Yeah no I don't have a job. However, I went to a good undergrad and am close to the top of my class so maybe they're assuming I could find something? More likely though, they don't really care what type of work that I do, just that I take the year to mature or gain experience or whatever.oaken wrote:do you already have a job? how do they know you'll get one? if you don't work and just dick around will they still accept you? what if you work retail or fast food or something? the whole thing just seems very strange to me. thanks for posting it though.

feels strange to be competing with GMAT takers for AJD. I know the GMAT is a tough test too. but...

I considered taking it and shooting only for AJD because of the math component and the RC on it seems easier but decided that would be short-sighted.bluegreen wrote:feels strange to be competing with GMAT takers for AJD. I know the GMAT is a tough test too. but...

I applied for AJD with GMAT, I kinda feel awkward competing with LSAT takers..
Or I just hate that future employers might ask, so you went to law school, what's your lsat?
