I've never wanted something so much for people I've never actually met, but really hoping you guys get some good news soon. I'd love to be in a class with you all.

I went complete mid-December, does that mean that if I don't get something in the mail it probably isn't coming? Or could I be part of the ensuing trickle?

I agree...while numbers certainly dominate, there is more to finding someone a job than just his/her numbers. That could be another reason why more schools will likely start interviewing applicants as well

Agreed. I have heard from a couple of different lawyers at top NYC firms that they regularly turn down candidates with Harvard undergrad/HLS/180/perfect GPA, etc. because they are socially inept and would not be an asset to the firm. In these times of scary unemployment statistics and constant criticism of law schools for failing to produce capable lawyers I think schools will be paying more attention to that LOR that hints at an applicant's lack of interpersonal skills, or resume that suggests a dearth of actual interest in the law beyond getting into HLS.

That's a good point --at a certain level of academic achievement, there could be an inverse relationship to a candidate's employability/interpersonal skills (we all know the type). I still think that for law schools, there would have to be a pretty clear and explicit indicator of this to turn down a 4.0/180 candidate, such as a common theme throughout both their resume and LORs that indicated a lack of basic social/interpersonal skills. Or they were a convicted felon.

Also: C&F, transcript full of joke classes, multiple retakes where each test is higher than the last by 2-3 points, contemptuous PS/LSAt writing sample. There are a lot of ways to mess up good numbers.

This is true. I did some statistical analysis of the importance of numbers during the last application cycle, and numbers alone certainly don't account for everything (and the range between schools is tremendous).

Yeah, I posted a link a couple pages back to last year's LSN. Again, this is just for acceptances. Waitlists and rejections wait a little longer, but based on last year, January applicants that are auto-admit, or close to it, could hear by the first or second week in February.

Given the map posted a few pages back, it seems reasonable that NCEs might not arrive until Tuesday. (Some dispute over what a "day" is, and so on). No reason to worry yet.
