So, explain it to me like I'm five. If you've been in review for a while, do you want committee review, or no? Obviously, you want straight up acceptance. Basically, I have a better shot at hitting ten consecutive home runs in Yankee Stadium while blackout drunk than getting into Berkeley with my numbers, but oh well.

WTH... Do they not know who you are? Send in a LOCI mentioning that JS thought you good enoughWormfather wrote:FR email received.
AA, Non Traditional. 170/3.92.
I did have a C&F addendum, but I'd imagine that the dean of admissions makes a decision on that issue by its self. Hmmmmmm.

When'd you apply? If you've been in since late November or so and didn't receive the email just now, then expect a ding soon. (Unless your softs are out of this world of course).WisemanAEKDB wrote:So, explain it to me like I'm five. If you've been in review for a while, do you want committee review, or no? If you submitted later then maybe you are still in the preliminary phase.

UR 12/7. I suppose that's enough time to realize that my application is nothing but a sad joke.WhatOurBodiesAreFor wrote: When'd you apply? Hoping Berkeley hides some big time YP with this whole Faculty Review thing. Big time numbers I'm competing with here.

Berkeley has a round of FR2, right? How does that work? The "maybe" ones who applied later in the cycle and the "maybe-maybe" ones left from FR1 will go to FR2?

so is the consensus that early Jan completes stuck at UR are getting dinged in this wave? in other words, should I be bracing myself?UMich11 wrote:We'll i'm ten days after you so maybe i'll last until next round. time will tell.Audeamus wrote:still stuck at UR 1/7 as well. no faculty review as of yet. when did you go complete?Goodman wrote:Sorry, I'm a little dumb. Doubt it. There are plenty of us stuck at way earlier dates.Audeamus wrote:so is the consensus that early Jan completes stuck at UR are getting dinged in this wave? in other words, should I be bracing myself?UMich11 wrote:We'll i'm ten days after you so maybe i'll last until next round. time will tell.Audeamus wrote:still stuck at UR 1/7 as well. no faculty review as of yet. when did you go complete?Goodman wrote:Sorry, I'm a little dumb. I think the maybe-maybe ones from FR1 are waitlisted and those who get FR2 are maybes who applied later in the cycle.wisteria wrote:Berkeley has a round of FR2, right? How does that work? The "maybe" ones who applied later in the cycle and the "maybe-maybe" ones left from FR1 will go to FR2?
