I live in NYC approx. 10 min away from the law school campus. Rushed home after work this afternoon to check the mailbox b/c my status updated to "decision letter sent" this afternoon. Nothing. Here's hoping for tomorrow...TLSNYC wrote:FWIW, no purple envelope here in suburban NJ.

I love NYU, but when it comes to purple...http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/st ... ortCat=nbaobrienfa wrote:I am right there with youmoxiepostulate wrote:Purple is my favorite color, so I'm looking forward to this one particularly on an irrational 5yr old girl level. I see you are bringing the pessimism from the Michigan thread right over to the NYU thread lol. How bout some optimism?s0ph1e2007 wrote:Early Nov. or Oct. people without decision mailed should expect rejects or wait lists right?

People got accepted throughout dec last year...there's no reason to assume that.s0ph1e2007 wrote:Early Nov. or Oct. people without decision mailed should expect rejects or wait lists right?

I don't think so at all. So far NYU's mainly been admitting auto-admits, EDers, or URMs. Most of the people either have high GPAs, high LSATs, or both. So I figure in a few days or so (hopefully), NYU will start admitting some of the more borderline applicants.ClayDavis wrote:It looks that way, yes.s0ph1e2007 wrote:Early Nov. or Oct. people without decision mailed should expect rejects or wait lists right?

Certainly possible, although I just don't see why they would go in that order - it's not like the auto-admits are going to have decided by the time they send out acceptances to the borderline candidates.absolutazn87 wrote:I don't think so at all. They're probably protecting their medians/25/75 first. They're stocking up on high GPAs and LSATs so they have room to know how many and which borderline applicants they can accept.ClayDavis wrote:Certainly possible, although I just don't see why they would go in that order - it's not like the auto-admits are going to have decided by the time they send out acceptances to the borderline candidates.absolutazn87 wrote:I don't think so at all. They usually like to make their decisions for borderline candidates once they have a better feel for the applicant Pool as a whole. It's quite normal for borderline applicant to have to wait longer.ClayDavis wrote:Certainly possible, although I just don't see why they would go in that order - it's not like the auto-admits are going to have decided by the time they send out acceptances to the borderline candidates.absolutazn87 wrote:I don't think so at all.
