Ever since I heard he was a Big3 management consultant, I knew interviews were going to be more important/he'd do more of them.georgina wrote:wow. i can't believe they're holding (almost) all of us. i really thought some of you/us would be getting in. JR is really shakin' the interview process up. has there been any indication he's interviewing significantly more people than were interviewed in past years?
The latest one I've seen is someone who submitted 10/1. I'm rooting for you Core!Core wrote:Sorry to those of you who received holds today, but, if you don't mind my asking, when did you guys submit & go complete?

Well, they still might be an accessory to the whole process, but my argument is that they might be more important this cycle than in those previous.EijiMiyake wrote:englawyer wrote:this is a scary postConMan345 wrote:Ever since I heard he was a Big3 management consultant, I knew interviews were going to be more important/he'd do more of them.georgina wrote:wow. i can't believe they're holding (almost) all of us. i really thought some of you/us would be getting in. Even if they do more interviews, I have a really hard time believing that interviews are important - how much can he possibly glean from a 5 minute conversation?

This, except since my interview on 11/20.crackberry wrote:I have yet to hear anything at all from HLS since my interview on 11/3.
The other thing is that a lot of the holds (and non JR2s) have either a GPA or LSAT that is borderline for Harvard - it could also just be the case that they were borderline even before they had their JR1, and nothing has changed.ConMan345 wrote:Well, they still might be an accessory to the whole process, but my argument is that they might be more important this cycle than in those previous.EijiMiyake wrote:englawyer wrote:this is a scary postConMan345 wrote:

I haven't been able to decipher where HLS is in the chronological order of things as far as holds and rejections and this very well could apply to you as well, Core (and to you, Gargamel and lz06), but since I applied on the first day possible (9/15) and was UR on the first day possible (9/28) and had an early JR1 (11/3), I'm thinking that since I've dodged the barrage of holds and rejections this week (so far, fingers crossed), that if I don't get a JR2 on the next day of calls, then I am sure to be getting a WL soon. But how is a WL any different than a hold? That I don't know.Core wrote:This, except since my interview on 11/20.crackberry wrote:I have yet to hear anything at all from HLS since my interview on 11/3.

Doesn't look like it.psychomohel wrote:Has anyone with a JR1 been rejected yet?
hmm, that's weird. so you did not submit before early october, right?somewhatwayward wrote:The weird thing is I went complete 12/1 so they didn't have to give me an update
Waitlist is a definitive status, a definite decision about your place in line so to speak. Hold is far more amorphous, highly dependent on things like other people's December LSAT scores, whether they get a flood of applications from 4.0/180s on January 31st, etc.crackberry wrote:I haven't been able to decipher where HLS is in the chronological order of things as far as holds and rejections and this very well could apply to you as well, Core (and to you, Gargamel and lz06), but since I applied on the first day possible (9/15) and was UR on the first day possible (9/28) and had an early JR1 (11/3), I'm thinking that since I've dodged the barrage of holds and rejections this week (so far, fingers crossed), that if I don't get a JR2 on the next day of calls, then I am sure to be getting a WL soon.
