+ 1 to your +1. I was frustrated when I called, because no one seemed capable of giving me a straight answer. If anyone gets any more clarity on the subject, that would be super helpful.ndirish2010 wrote:+1statuscheckerssuck wrote:+1ndirish2010 wrote:In today. Decision made on 1/15, stats are 3.66/168

Really weird considering when I checked my status last week it said "incomplete"
I am in state, but if it is true there is not going to be any scholly money I will be withdrawing as well.
Any definite answer on this?
Already am in at W&L and W&M with $$, so if there is going to be no money from Maryland I will withdraw and give my spot to someone else. Hopefully we can get some sort of a confirmation on this.

Received an email from UMD this morning that they sent me the wrong letter. Weird because I never received a letter.

My email said that they may have sent me a decision letter addressed to the wrong person. Except for the letter they sent definitely was addressed to me.

Anyone else thinking that the admissions process at UMD seems a little disorganized.scottwisconsin wrote:statuscheckerssuck wrote:+1zimbadimp wrote:Received an email from UMD this morning that they sent me the wrong letter. Weird because I never received a letter.

Did they say they sent you a wrong letter (it was correctly addressed to you but they didn't mean to accept/wait-list/reject you) or you may have gotten an incorrectly addressed letter? That's important!!zimbadimp wrote:Received an email from UMD this morning that they sent me the wrong letter. Weird because I never received a letter.

I don't think it's that they messed up the apps. They probably messed up creating the address database.nj05nets wrote:got a waitlist letter yesterday that was labled correctly. got a letter today saying they may have sent my letter to the wrong person and a new one would be sent today. hopefully im at least still on the waitlist. seems like a lot of ppl have gotten this letter...how could they have fucked up on so many apps?

Re: Maryland 2010
At what point should one begin to consider contacting a school about one's application? I have been complete at 9 schools for almost 10 weeks now, but im really trying to be patient and let them all do their thing. For some reason though, I'm finding Maryland to be particularly infuriating. I've been in review since 12/2, much earlier than many of those who have already received a decision. Yes I'm a splitter (167/3.09) and thus need to be extra patient, but I thought pretty secure about my chances at maryland. How long should I wait before asking them if anything in particular is holding me up?

I would be comfortable inquiring at this point. I would make an effort to convey my interest as the impetus for my inquiry though.Geist13 wrote:At what point should one begin to consider contacting a school about one's application? So, I went "In Review" 1/11. It still says "in review" but the status date is now 1/20...... any ideas about what that means, if it means anything at all :/ Maybe they're considering my app as opposed to throwing it, full speed, in the reject pile (wishful thinking). My GPA is above the 75th but LSAT is below their 25th

Has anyone submitted their seat deposit(s)? If so, what was (roughly) the turn-around time for the check(s) to be processed?
Thanks!
Thanks!

decision made today. 167/3.09.
I no idea how i feel. The fact that I was under review for 56 day is not making me feel better. But purely from a numbers perspective I would think im in. what are everyone else's numbers?

Good luck, everyone waiting for a decision!
I'm in as of 1/15, (3.54/161), suffered through the whole email "we may have sent you the wrong decision" fiasco, but received my admit package. Really wish there was an Admitted Students website or some other contact from the school though. Has anyone visited the law campus?
