My decision was made on 1/19 as well but I did not get a financial aid email. I'm starting to worry that this isn't a good sign but perhaps the email went out to a general email list?

I'm guessing that their system is imperfect. If people have acceptances and no e-mails re: financial aid, I bet there are people without e-mails with acceptances, too. Just a guess.kcolo wrote:My decision was made on 1/19 as well but I did not get a financial aid email. I called and the lady at the admissions office said that they had sent out the e-mail to previously admitted students and illinois resident prospects. If you did not get an e-mail it does not necessarily mean that you were rejected. Letters were sent out yesterday 1/20.

Sounds like good news to me! Time to start checking the mail 5 times a day.jaskat wrote:I called and the lady at the admissions office said that they had sent out the e-mail to previously admitted students and illinois resident prospects. Re: Loyola Chicago 2010
I am so nervous. I just checked my status checker and I went complete yesterday, although it didn't show up until this afternoon. From the posts above, I am hoping that no financial aid email is not a bad thing and that my decision was mailed yesterday. I applied PTD and they don't accept too many applicants to that program, hopefully I will at least be waitlisted. It's my top choice. I wish they gave you an option to be considered for the other programs too.
I live in CA, so it looks like I have at least a few more days before the fateful envelope arrives.
BTW, I am 160/3.72.

Decision made 1/21. What do acceptances look like-big letter or normal? My decision was really quick- makes me nervous !!

Same here- anybody else? Anybody else have a near-immediate turn around and gain acceptance?

me as well. My decision was made yesterday, and I applied just a little over two weeks ago. Im going to go out on a limb and say its because I (we) are auto-admits. But I would care for anyone who was in this position earlier in the cycle to share their insight.SmittenMitten wrote:idreamoflawschool09 wrote:Decision made 1/21. I certainly hope so- according to the all-knowing LSP I am an admit for sure--but I guess you never know. I am feeling really confident but that was an exceptionally quick turnaround.

Not yet

I'm not an illinois resident-and there is no update in terms of "mailings" on my status checker- it just says decision made-

Re: Loyola Chicago 2010
I don't really know. I guess the admissions office said that they sent that financial aid email to prospective Illinois residents and previously admitted students. I was just trying to figure out what decision they made on my file based on not received the email. I would think my numbers would get me in, but who knows. It will be nice to finally hear some results from our batch of decisions.
My turnaround was fast too. Submitted 1/7, complete 1/14, decision 1/20.

I believe Jaskat posted above that admissions stated they were sending financial aid to prospective Illinois residents and previously admitted-

I didn't get any financial aid email....(non illinois resident) Also- have Loyola's batches of decisions beeen uniform, or might this be a mixed batch ( some acceptances, some rejectsion, some WLs) I don't think I'm an auto admit.kristela204 wrote:SmittenMitten wrote:I hope so too. I was one of the ones with a decision made 1/19 and a financial aid e-mail on 1/20. I just got a large white envelope with my acceptance today (live in Chicago area)
