I withdrew over the weekend, so hopefully that frees up a spot. I had put in my deposit and planned on going, but I got into a master's program on Friday that is closer to my SO and may be more in line with my interests. I made the decision quickly (maybe too quickly), so hopefully my spot/scholarship can go to one of y'all on hold.

Still nothing. I called yesterday and the guy said sometime this week. He said he didn't know exactly what day though.

It's hard to say, but I think it could be a good sign. If they had only a few spots left, I would think it would be faster for them to select the few they need and reject everyone else. If several people withdrew or didn't accept leaving several spots open, I think they would spend more time evaluating the canidates on hold since they would need to fill more spots. But thats just a guess, it could be taking them longer for other reasons.

Haha, I was just thinking the same thing. Although it could affect me, as I asked to also be considered for the AJD, but my status checker still just says JD at the top. No clue, and no word.

thanks for the heads up. last time they didn't send an email until a full week after the status checker contained the hold notification, so we'll see if emails actually go out.
