Had my interview couple of days ago, it was great. However, it seemed strange that it lasted for 3 hours. Very informative. Hope I get in.

Re: Vanderbilt 2013
for anyone who has been admitted, was there any mention of scholarship money, or any merit-based scholarship offers made along with your acceptance package? I'm trying to figure out if we'll have to wait until after submitting the merit scholars app package to receive any offer, or if smaller/separate offers might be made before then

Haha, if I remember right, the Rhodes interview is MAYBE 20 minutes. It feels like 3 hours, though.crackberry wrote:Are you kidding? 3 (THREE!!!) hours? Scholarship offers are in February, and the Merit scholars app is due in January, with notification in March i think.poprox wrote:for anyone who has been admitted, was there any mention of scholarship money, or any merit-based scholarship offers made along with your acceptance package? Re: Vanderbilt 2013
Just had my interview with an alum in San Francisco. Lasted about 40 minutes and was, as everyone has said, very low key. We talked about football, southern girls and Nashville bars (and a little about the law school).
How does it work from here? Will I be notified once Vandy has received my interviewer's evaluation? Or will I just get a "decision" date on my status checker at some point?

You'll just get a decision notification. The way I've seen it going, you get a decision within a couple of weeks.crackberry wrote:Just had my interview with an alum in San Francisco. If that's true...I think I just died a little inside. Vandy is one of my top choices. Went complete 10/16, had my interview on 10/23 and still no decision.gossipgirl wrote:You'll just get a decision notification. My SO applied late Sept and I applied around 10/20.
We both interviewed on Nov. 2 off campus. She got her decision last week and I got mine this week.

My decision was mailed on 11/20 as well! I'm guessing they won't do rejections this early, so here's hoping it's that giant box o' stuff that everyone else has been getting!

Re: Vanderbilt 2013
When I got mine, it was a priority mailed box. Decision was mailed on Friday, arrived on Monday. I live in Iowa and in a part of Iowa that normally gets one day slower service then most other parts, so I was glad for the priority mailing.lz06 wrote:yayy just realized that my decision was mailed on 11/20! Not yet complete.
Phone interview today. Lasted about an hour. He asked about interest in law, Vanderbilt, and a current legal issue. Mostly talked about life.
Vanderbilt definitely moved to the top of my list. Unfortunately, my LSAT is only slightly higher than 25%. Even if I get accepted, not sure how to navigate that $44k/year tuition.

i'm surprised you haven't withdrawn by now. You already got into better schools with serious money too.crackberry wrote:Just had my interview with an alum in San Francisco. I went complete on 10/16. No interview, though I tried to while they were in New Haven and they didn't have any slots open that worked for me.crackberry wrote:Kretzy and lz06, when did you guys submit and interview?

There are things about Vandy that really appeal to me. I probably won't go there, but if I get one of the Law Scholars Merit Awards and don't get HYSCCN, it will be in serious consideration.Oban wrote:i'm surprised you haven't withdrawn by now. Is that award full tuition + stipend? That would be a sweet deal.
