Mine changed like that twice and I got in. Whats your LSAT score? It seems like they are just going down the list by lsat. The most recent batch was all 161s from what I can tell.G_Girl4098 wrote:I'm still "File in Review" but my status date has changed 3 times now.

Re: In at University of Houston
Howdy y'all (does that sound Houstonian?).
My cycle changed from "received" to "complete" to "in review" to "in review" (yes, twice) to "decision rendered."
I just got in this week. It appears as though they are considering the applications by their LSAT scores and moving down the ladder step by step, literally.
If you are "in review" and then "in review" and then "in review" I would actually consider that a good sign--it means that they are still actively considering your application!
Good luck.

Thanks, that gives me hope. A few more lsat points to go for me! It feels good changing from "hold" to "in review." I'll take that minor victory.

Re: In at University of Houston
OMG OMG OMG OMG
Decision rendered today. According to TLS & LSN, that means I'm either in or waitlisted.
PLEASE OH PLEASE let me in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd go to Houston over Miami in a heartbeat!!!!!! Please don't let me be the first reject!!!!!!
Everyone pray for me. Houston hasn't gotten to the 150's yet. I'm scared.
I'm not going to be able to concentrate on life until I find out.

I talked to the admissions folks on Saturday at the Houston forum and they said they were going by "complete" dates. The just concluded early January applicants - according to her

That is definitely not true, I was complete in October and I just went decision rendered today. If you check LSN they also don't resemble that at all. This waiting on the decision email is stressful though.

Re: In at University of Houston
Looking at the wide range on peoples numbers who got word today, I would say we are looking at the waitlist my friends. Hopefully some of the top people withdraw and head elsewhere so a few of us can get in.
Previously they went almost perfectly in order by LSAT score, if you look at LSN not one applicant that is 161 or over has been turned down or waitlisted this cycle. If you look at last year only one applicant that was 160 or greater was turned down (and they had a 2.1 GPA). Looks like this year the cutoff may be 161 instead of the 160 it was last year, which sucks for me as I have a 160.
Anyways we all know the 170 plus folks probably arent headed to U of H so hopefully they withdraw and pull some of us off the waitlist.

I completely agree with this...If you guys didn't all have high 150's (and your gpa meaty), I would've thought I had a chance. But there's no way they're accepting all of us.meathead wrote:Looking at the wide range on peoples numbers who got word today, I would say we are looking at the waitlist my friends. Sucks to be the first group of waitlists. Would suck even worse if we get rejected. I'm so sad. Seriously.

i refuse to believe, despite my shitty gpa, that i'll be waitlisted with a 166. I REFUSE!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
