For the rest of you, don't worry too much if you don't hear back right away. I applied at the beginning of September last year, didn't hear back for a month or two, and still ended up with a great scholarship offer compared to my numbers. Worst case scenario, waiting longer to find out if you got in means (most likely) a shorter wait for a scholarship letter! :D
Thanks for the encouragement Meno, I'm so anxious to hear back but trying to remember that we're still only days into the admissions cycle lol

My interview is scheduled for later this week, but from what I've read from previous cycles, the interviews are typically around 20 minutes in length and are pretty relaxed.

I had an interview with a member of the admissions committee and at the end of the interview I was admitted.
Nice! Was your interview on the phone or?

median LSAT and 25>GPA>median, went complete on 9/2, contacted for an interview the same day. had my interview via skype this morning. it was very conversational with a few general questions about my interest in UVA and my professional goals, etc. very relaxed. my status checker was updated to "admitted" a few hours later, and i received a phone call from my interviewer at the end of the day notifying me of my acceptance.

I did mine via skype, although they said that if we couldn't skype a phone call would also suffice.
Oh ok! A question off of that, just curious, was it a video chat or just a skype call?

My interview went for about 40 minutes but it was very conversational. More vague and casual than a list of questions. Didn't get admitted at the end or the same day like some but I'm still confident.

Hey guys, I know a couple other people have offered the same, but I'm a current 1L at UVA and am willing to answer any questions you guys have during the admissions cycle. TLS was a great resource for me last year (I wasn't even going to apply to UVA because of a lower LSAT score but was encouraged by TLSers) and I want to pay it forward.

Best of luck!

Hi OtterLaw, any idea how receptive UVA is to veterans?
