+1, I'm starting to feel my sanity slip a little as I stare into the empty abyss that is my email inbox. Still waiting on Harvard, Stanford, Chicago, and Northwestern.

Do people receive initial decisions after the deposit deadline?

Yes, for example, I've heard of people being accepted after Wash U's deposit deadline (not counting people coming off the waitlist). I'm sure it varies from school to school.

If you are hearing after the initial deposit deadline does it generally mean you have less time to decide and make a deposit? or are you going to waitlisted at that point?

From what I have gathered on the forums is that you get a little bit of time to make the deposit. I think that you can get in anytime before the last seat deposit time. Until they send you a WL note, you aren't on the WL, and your app us under review (as opposed to the WL folks who's apps won't be under review until May, and will not be looked at unless there are spots to fill).
