Are you going to Davis over UCI?

My account was updated with a student id on Wednesday, but no email. I keep worrying that means they worked on my file and aren't giving any merit. :/

Just received email now with an attachment that had my scholarship info. Pretty pleased overall. Submitted in mid-Jan, complete late Jan, and accepted in early Feb.

I had resigned myself to a weekend of waiting, so I was surprised when I got an email this evening with my award. I am very pleasantly surprised and I hope everyone gets info soon. I applied in late November and was accepted mid-February. My letter included merit and need amounts.

Same! I was really surprised, it was a lot higher than UCI's offer. I was really leaning towards UCI until tonight, but now its the reverse.Kaybay wrote:I had resigned myself to a weekend of waiting, so I was surprised when I got an email this evening with my award. I am glad UC Davis is starting to release more scholarship info. I received the email from Dean Mercado with grant aid information attached. Really pleased with the overall amount.

Honestly after the scholarship info Davis is a very serious contender for where I'll be next year.

Re: UC Davis c/o 2019 Applicants
I received scholarship info last night as well and was actually a little disappointed. Wondering if being from the West Coast didn't get me low-balled a bit. It's a decent chunk of change, but I guess I didn't realize that Davis is up to $56k/yr for out-of-state students... Either way, it isn't enough to beat my other offers, so I'll probably be withdrawing. Sigh!

Same here! It looks like I'll be headed to Davis in the Fall barring a more compelling offer from one of my waitlists.kingwhereofis wrote:Same! Sorry to pry, but could you guys give some insight on how much larger Davis was over Irvine?mori2015 wrote:Same here! I'm still Awaiting Evaluation ... I hope you don't have to wait much longer! Maybe they'll finally give you their decision tomorrow or Fridayforlornhope wrote:All the while I get to wait at "Evaluation in Progress" while hearing about these sweet merit offers.![]()
I'm really worried that I'll be putting down seat deposits first. I was hoping to use UCD as a good benchmark for other offers, so that kinda sucks.
