Gainesville is a pretty cool place I think. It's a very liberal place, so if that's not your political bend, just be aware that exists.Goatside47 wrote:I'm looking at couple but I lived in Florida all my life and I like it here so UF makes sense to me.. Got put on hold today with a 3.6 and a 172 LSAT.
A bit disgruntled tbh, I thought I would be a lock.

Hold, slight reach but really hoping for good news come spring (or earlier).
interesting to see them put people with numbers that are at median or above on hold, wonder if application numbers are way up

You probably are. I'm pretty sure the adcomm and the scholly people meet at different times. So far, everyone with your score range has gotten a pretty good amount of money, AND they offer it contemporaneous to the admit offer. Also, don't forget they just got back from vacation and probably have a ton of applications to go through.clarf wrote:Got put on hold today with a 3.6 and a 172 LSAT.

Good points. I'll take my hold with a grain of salt in that case.Sonar80 wrote:You probably are. I'm pretty sure the adcomm and the scholly people meet at different times. My app went on Hold and I was really concerned but then the next day I got the email saying I got in and I got a full ride so I wouldn't worry too much.

I think they put in on hold before they offer admission. At least that is what happened with me. I was put on hold and then not to long after I found out I was admitted and with a scholarship

Finally got the application submitted. They needed court documentaiton from a OWI I got 10 years ago. Hopefully it won't hurt me too bad and I'll get some good news soon. UF is quickly rising the ranks of schools I want to go to, although the fast-approaching winter here in Maryland might have something to do with that.

I was checking in periodically so I'm not really sure how long I was on hold. I just remember checking in, being on hold, and then the next day I got an email in my spam folder letting me know that I got in! I got my admittance "blue box" this week too with some awesome swag.
