Nope. No email, and my status checker still just says "Your application file is complete."anomalousacp wrote:congrats! did your status checker change?sollos wrote:Admitted by phone call today.

I've written a "why texas" addendum but it doesn't look like there's a place on the application to submit it-- should I forget it unless they ask later or send it in separately? Maybe I'm missing something obvious... any insight?

Woke up this morning to an e-mail telling me my ED application has been put on hold to review with the regular decision pool. No Christmas for me.
With my GPA and scores right at/right below median, I'm guessing this isn't a good sign? This waiting game until April will kill me.

Received rejection email this morning. I applied ED and was <25% for both LSAT and GPA. Good luck all!

This feeling sucks. Happened to me last cycle. Sat out, improved my LSAT, and got some better options (for my goals) for this cycle (though I would love to go to UT if circumstances work out). Good luck!Echoduck wrote:Received rejection email this morning. I applied ED and was <25% for both LSAT and GPA. Good luck all!

Rejected via email. Applied ED. Splitter (GPA <25th by a long shot, LSAT >75th by a comfortable margin). Very unique softs and non-traditional applicant. My application was very reliant on my PS and LORs (all professional, no academic).
I applied to most of the lower T14 for safety (sounds counter-intuitive, but it fits my situation and the strengths/weaknesses of my application). Multiple acceptances (won't specify, but we know who has started accepting by now). I basically blanketed very school below CCN minus Boalt and UMich.
Really wanted to go to Texas for multiple personal reasons. I knew Texas was a little more "GPA-conscious," especially given some of their recent issues, so I knew I wasn't a shoe-in. Hence the ED to show commitment. All other apps were RD, of course.
Since my app clearly resonated at some other (higher-ranked) schools, I am disappointed but not bitter in the outright rejection. No hold for RD or WL.

Applied ED with LSAT>75% and GPA slightly<25%. Held over to regular decision via email this morning.

Pretty disheartened to hear that some splitters aren't doing well. I'm sitting here as an out of state 3.16/173 and starting to worry that I might be out of luck.

Held for RD, received the email this morning. GPA on the lower end so not too upset with this result.

Hi guys, maybe already answered. Haven't checked up on my Texas application in a while and I was just wondering: I received login info from Texas when I applied but when I log in there is no place that says my application is complete (or anything about my application actually). It just says that it is my UT Direct - My Home and there are no messages in my message center. Is that what it's supposed to look like..? Or has something gone horribly wrong.

Are you going to the link through the email that was sent, or via the website? Also, I don't think you'll see much. They haven't been updating information very well (so far at least for RD).chayatshuva wrote:Hi guys, maybe already answered. That is very strange. It sounds like a student portal...but I've never seen it so I wouldn't really know.chayatshuva wrote:Through the emailed link.lymenheimer wrote:Are you going to the link through the email that was sent, or via the website? What you are describing is just the homepage for UT's portal. Sounds like just a minor pathing issue. If you click on the UT Banner top left and follow > Admissions & Aid > School of Law > Status Checker, you should end up where you are trying to get to.chayatshuva wrote:So can I just assume I got in??
