I've done a lot of big things since I applied so it wouldn't just be symbolic.... I would actually have strong stuff to put on there.
I would call first to make sure that there isn't a problem on their end. I had a similar concern with another school that was alleviated earlier this week by a phone call.
I am in the exact same place. Did you make a call or are you going to send a LOCI? I don't want to annoy Davis but it's my top choice!
Idk! I'm so torn! I read on another thread some advice from an advisor that said DO NOT pester them until you've reached a decision and a LOCI is only for Waitlisted applicants. She said it might even negatively affect your chances. So now I'm all freaked out and I'm gonna wait.

I swear I'm not trying to humblebrag here, but did everyone else get a text from the dean (after already getting the admit email) and a handwritten note in the admissions packet? Trying to figure out how much leverage I have and I'm wondering if that's just what they always do.

Yep. Both of mine were along the same lines: "Come to Davis!" Short and sweet.

Darn, I'm not special after all

The note on my letter said "WE WANT YOU" which is nice but kind of needy. Get it together, Davis.

Had same text + handwritten note combo. Same "We Want You" message too. Thought I was special too

Do we have to fill out anything extra to be considered for merit?

Nothing else is required for the merit aid, but you'll need to have completed fafsa and the need access application to be considered for need based grants.

Not yet. Received scholarship info but I believe need based grant is available on April 1st.

Just got Waitlisted via snail mail to my parents house? So strange LOL. Not sure if it's worth hanging on. Any social justice minded folks have thoughts about Davis?

So do you guys think these texts were from the Dean's personal cell, or something else?
