Re: Wake Forest C/O 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 cycle)
Dear TLSers~
Greetings from Winston Salem!
I write this short note to let you know exactly what our plan is this week. Our scholarship grid is firmly established. The information provided heretofore has helped us formulate a scholarship awarding strategy we believe will benefit students and Wake Forest optimally.
We will be releasing scholarship information and decision information tomorrow (probably in the early afternoon for most folks). Going forward decision letters will include scholarship information. You will find along with the scholarship award letter other information about enrolling this fall and a reconsideration form. We invite all candidates to submit the form and copies of the relevant offers even if you previously sent in information. These official requests for reconsideration will be reviewed by the faculty admissions committee to determine whether we are willing/able to adjust an award. They are considered individually.
Please, feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions once you've received the email regarding scholarship. Clearly we can't offer every candidate a merit scholarship and in a case where you aren't awarded a scholarship, know that we want you to be a part of our community as much as anyone. Everyone will, of course, receive information in the near future about financial aid/loan programs to fund whatever portion of your cost of attendance you may need to finance. We are here to discuss that process with you.
I know this is an exciting and anxious time for you. We hope to alleviate as much stress as possible by being transparent and accessible.
Warm regards,
Jay Shively

TLSers~
I promise scholarship and admits are going out today. We are diligently working on it. They'll go out in groups of already admitted candidates and newly admitted candidates and then further distinguished by those who receive full, partial, or no scholarship. Don't fret if some people start to get notified and you haven't heard yet. Feel free to contact me first thing tomorrow if you don't get a notification of any kind and you're expecting to receive one.
We appreciate your patience (even if it is waning as the day progresses).
Warm regards,
Jay Shively

Got the email!
Just a heads up to those frantically refreshing (like me), my scholarship email actually went to my spam folder (how scholarship emails end up in my spam while tons of actual spam end up in my inbox is beyond me!).
