For those of you getting scholarships: did you have to submit your FASFA? Or did they give it to you automatically upon your acceptance?

No FASFA needed.

You should be able to get more out of them. 'Dozo's plummet in the rankings over the past three years has put them right next to St. John's.clin29 wrote:Just a quick note. Cardozo raised their offer from 32k to 36k after I leveraged with a full-ride offer from St. John's.

Anyone else serious considering Cardozo now that they bumped up their offer to $150,000? I've gotten into T30 in other states with some cash, but a free ride in NYC is mighty appealing. Am I crazy?

After my bump to $150,000, I am taking them up on their $400 travel stipend to go visit their "sneak peak" on Tuesday. The COL of NYC is still outrageous, and their LST employment outcomes still basically only give you a coin's flip chance to even become an attorney at all. Most likely outcome is making a not great salary in the most expensive city in the country. I still am considering it because like you said, a free ride to a NYC school is awesome ,but I will most likely stick with Iowa with some $.Cpt Zapp Brannigan wrote:Anyone else serious considering Cardozo now that they bumped up their offer to $150,000? You're not. I really want to do it. My deposit deadline is tomorrow, when is yours?Cpt Zapp Brannigan wrote:Anyone else serious considering Cardozo now that they bumped up their offer to $150,000? Oh wait they have an open day THIS Tuesday? I didn't hear about it. Can someone PM me more info? Could you PM me the info on open day as well? Or maybe post on thread? (sorry to ask! it would really help tho!)
Cardozo said deposit due tuesday. I have already deposited at another school-a good T30 regional with scholly- but I HATE it's location. It's literally a cow town. I'm a city person and I'm worried I'm going to be miserable for 3 years and be unable to do any networking. I thought I could suck it up but I didn't have a good time at their ASW, which is huge red flag. Right in the middle of this existential crisis, the Cardozo bump came. I'm seriously considering it.
Anyone have luck getting that 2.95 GPA requirement lowered or dropped? Thanks guys!

Here is the Email I received regarding the Sneak Peek program on Tuesday:
SNEAK PEEK PROGRAM
Tuesday, April 28, 2015
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
1:00 pm Check-in (Law School Lobby)
Beverages will be available.
1:30 pm - 2:20 pm Welcome by David G. Martinidez, Dean of Admissions (Jacob Burns Moot Court Room)
Special First-Year Torts Class
Ekow Yankah, Professor of Law
2:30 pm - 3:30 pm Panel: The Cardozo Learning Experience (Moot Court Room)
Chair: Melanie Leslie, Vice Dean and Professor of Law
Michael Burstein, Professor of Law
Ed Stein, Professor of Law and Director, Program in Family Law, Policy and Bioethics
Leslie Salzman, Clinical Professor of Law and Director, Bet Tzedek Legal Services Clinic
3:30 pm - 4:30 pm Guided Tours of the Law School, Led by Current Students
4:30 pm - 5:45 pm Panel: Career Develepment, Corporate Law, Public Service Law and Student Life (Moot Court Room)
Chair: Val Myteberi, Director of the Heyman Center on Corporate Governance
Judy Mender, Dean of Students
Patricia Morrissey, Dean of Career Services
Leslie Thrope, Director of the Center of Public Service Law
5:45 pm - 6:45 pm Reception with Cardozo Faculty, Students and Administration (Fifth Floor)
Hope this helps! I will be there to check it out. Pretty unlikely I decide to matriculate, but the $400 travel stipend makes it worthwhile to at least go visit. The only crappy thing is the deposit deadline for me is the day of the event, so I am hoping they still honor the stipend before having to make any kind of deposit!

Hey for those of you who were bumped up to full scholarships when you withdrew, do you mind if you can PM your numbers. I initially received a 30k and was bumped up to a 35k after a little bit of negotiation. Cardozo is one of my first choices but money and COL is my biggest problem. Id really appreciate the feedback. Thanks a lot.

Hey everyone! Is anyone still on the wait list for the the May or August program? I'm on the wait list for both and I still haven't heard anything from them! I visited the school, and one of the admission counselor said I had a chance of getting in. Just wondering if anyone is still waiting?

I'm still waiting to hear back regarding the August program. Hopefully, we'll get some sort of updates soon.A25sharm17 wrote:Hey everyone! The Cardozo May program has 53 members in its facebook group if that helps give you an idea of how much more room there is. I'm not sure how many students they usually accept for the May class

You definitely should! It stinks giving up a summer, but during the fall and spring semesters you only have 3 classes from Monday to Thursday. Who doesn't love three day weekends? Lol
