Also invited to interview!
Any ideas/comments/hopeful thinking on what an invite to interview means for your admission chances? Is it like Northwestern where it has no impact or Harvard where it seems to have a large impact, or somewhere in between?

People who have already interviewed--any status changes today? I have UR dated today, and though I sort of lost track--thinking that's UR 3?

just so everyone knows, the U Chicago twitter has in the past been known to announce interview/decision waves right before they happen. they tweeted about both of the interview waves so far.

Pretty standard interview, a few more questions than others I have had so far (which was nice, gave me a chance to expand on my application a bit). Mine may have been a bit unique in that they were very interested in my work experience, if you are straight through with no work experience I'm sure the questions would be a little bit different. They wanted to know why law school, why Chicago, why my undergrad school, what I'd do instead if law school wasn't an option, what a normal day looks like for me at work, stuff like that.

Also had the interview yesterday. It was actually one of the most natural interviews I've done where I felt the questions were introspective but not bizarre. Ended pretty much exactly at 20 minutes.
The interviewer was very nice, although as a rule I HATE skype interviews. They are sooooo awkward. And everyone looks unattractive in that little video window.
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions, but I think the Interview Prep thread and what others have already said sums up my experiences well. I will say that I think UChicago has more flexibility in the questions they ask than other schools (i.e. Northwestern) does. This means that while you can compile a list of likely questions, you will never be able to predict all the questions.

My interview was pretty standard as well. My cat made a few appearances, but I couldn't bear locking her up in the closet and hearing her whine.
Today I found out my interviewer lied to my face when she answered one of the questions I asked...
