Checking in....and this is awesome news!Lavitz wrote:This thread is dead. I'm bored. Somebody ask me a question.
In the meantime, relevant news: the new dean told us that they've increased the financial aid budget. So expect $$$ I guess.

Checking in. I was initially ambivalent about this school, but I'm starting to like Cornell the more I think about it.

Checking in! One of the two T14 schools I think I'll have a decent shot at so I'm excited to see what happens.

Checking in, about to submit in a day or two. Excited and nervous! A shade below both medians so not the bestchances, hoping for the best. Pretty diverse (international student, lgbt) so hopefully they see something in me. Possibly considering ED.

Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
For C&F should we write an explanation in the text box AND submit an addendum? or just submit an addendum? i feel strange having the exact same explanation in 2 different parts of my application.
Cornell is the only school that REQUIRES that you attach an addendum but also tells you to explain your disciplinary action in a text box in the C&F section...

Just put "See attached addendum." in the text box. But it's really not a big deal no matter what you do.walterwhite wrote:For C&F should we write an explanation in the text box AND submit an addendum? or just submit an addendum? i feel strange having the exact same explanation in 2 different parts of my application.

Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
I did exactly this. Through my applications, where I could just put an explanation in a text box and not use an addendum, I did, because I think one of my applications somewhere mentioned that schools prefer that, but where I needed an addendum, either because of length or because of weird requirements like the one mentioned here, I just wrote "See attached addendum".Lavitz wrote:Just put "See attached addendum." in the text box. Cornell alum in my second year doing litigation at a V5 in NYC. Happy to answer questions (although I remember just about zero about the application process).

Do you know anything about the application section where they ask you to list members of the Cornell community who influenced you to apply? Would it be better to just list N/A than to put someone you basically don't even remotely know?Lincoln wrote:Cornell alum in my second year doing litigation at a V5 in NYC. Lavitz wrote:I can almost guarantee that there will be a stupid required question asking "who influenced you to apply to Cornell" which you should just answer with "N/A" unless someone in particular actually did tell you to apply.

Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
since nobody posts on this thread I figure I'll just take over with dumb questions:
How do we choose non-binding early action? Does that just happen automatically if we submit before November 1? I see an option for binding early decision, but nowhere on the application do a see an option for "early action"...

Thread is dead due to Cornell's lack of urgency wrt acceptances. Also I don't think they have sent waivers to the Septembers yet.
yea i asked them for a waiver and they said to wait for CRS... still waiting

Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
silly question, but anyone know when they might put up their 75%'s for the LSAT. I'm just a bit below the median for GPA and wondering what the LSAT 75th might be.. I'm thinking I am over it, but it will help me in determining if I should just submit my app now, or hold out for a fee waiver...

Your stats are so good that the admissions committee may not take you seriously. They'll know that you're just applying as a safety school.LawzGurl wrote:Holla I want to go school here I have 2.8 and 144 lsat test can I come
