This is almost my exact numbers and situation. Except I chose to go green instead of blue...NavyRick wrote:No my gpa is in the dumpster from my first few years. Re: WUSTL c/o 2018 Applicants
How does the admissions office usually handle reverse splitters?
There's still a potential for a 165+ for me but I am just being conservative in my estimate.
Looking like a 161-164 lsat
gpa:3.84
Good softs(TFA, solid ps, recs, etc.)
I could retake of course but between working 6-5 every day and then studying and then trying to stay healthy on top of that has been a bit of an issue..

Congrats acr
I'm really interested in how many ED people they take, and if this will affect other people with good numbers who don't ED (insofar as if the max you'll get without ED is 120k or something because they accept 30 people ED).
Also wondering if we'll be able to raise our medians, considering we have several people locked in for next year that were below both medians that were deferred from my cycle.
Can't be too bad though considering we held the 166 while adding almost 100 people to the class.

Re: WUSTL c/o 2018 Applicants
Does anybody know why they did this? LST has them at a 19.3% underemployment score for the Class of 2013 with 300 graduates. That's already a large number of people who may regret ever attending this law school. I can't even fathom the reasoning of adding 100 more graduates to last year's incoming class total, unless they have some ability to predict a massive upswing in the lawyer job market in a few more years? Nobody else seems to be predicting one.scottidsntknow wrote:Can't be too bad though considering we held the 166 while adding almost 100 people to the class.
That said, I've done the phone interview, and am awaiting a decision. It's a great school, but one of many that should continue to probably keep class sizes lower than it previously has.

Honestly I think way more people accepted offers than they anticipated.Wingtip88 wrote:Does anybody know why they did this? I think they were shooting for like 220 to keep the class profitable.
But yea admissions is a lot of magic/vodoo/divination so sometimes things don't work as planned.

Then I would suggest to WashU's admissions folks to have a class size cap. They don't need to graduate a class anywhere near 300 in the foreseeable future.scottidsntknow wrote:Honestly I think way more people accepted offers than they anticipated.

Still, I'd be happy to attend if the debt-reward risk calculus appears to be in my favor, but we'll have to wait and see.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
