I don't think the LSAT numbers will change, but I wouldn't be surprised to see GPA fluctuate a bit, +/- 0.01. Nothing substantial though.james.bungles wrote:cant imagine them changing at allw0w wrote:now, I KNOW orientation is over. Are there no new medians or any numbers to report? Edit: Also, just want to note how insane it is that 43% of TLS applicants from last year's spreadsheet were admitted, even if there's some self-selection going on. Way to make me feel inadequate, TLS.
And is taking the December LSAT, i.e. submitting early to mid-January going to completely throw me off the races?
The statistics seem pretty grim for TLS who applied after Christmas last year.

Obviously the earlier the better, but I don't think early January is going to completely derail your chances. Do you already have a LSAT score or is this the first one?parkcity wrote:And is taking the December LSAT, i.e. submitting early to mid-January going to completely throw me off the races?

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 (2014-2015 applicants)
That'd be the first one. Still trying to decide whether to sit September as well (as initially planned), but 90% leaning towards a NO as I won't score more than 170 unless I have the 3 additional months till December to study more.pylon wrote:Obviously the earlier the better, but I don't think early January is going to completely derail your chances. Re: Harvard c/o 2018 (2014-2015 applicants)
Fair enough. I think it's a smart plan, the benefit of scoring those extra points on the December test will outweigh the earlier application should you write the September test with a lower score. Good luck!parkcity wrote:That'd be the first one. Where can one see the questions that lsac will send to the recommenders?
appind over-complicates simple things like soliciting letters of recommendation.

sorry so I take it that there are no specific questions in the letter and it's just a document that has the recommender's narrative with no clear format?
I went through bschool recs some time ago which have very different styles/specific questions, and those who have done them can probably relate to this issue.
How long the letter is expected to be in say 11-pt times and double space?RECOMMENDER:

Can anything be gleaned from these numbers? LSAT remained the same, but GPA has slightly dropped. Also class size is down by 8.
My understanding is that this bodes well for us this cycle, and I think for splitters as well (because it appears they're willing to sacrifice their GPA slightly to keep the LSAT). Thoughts?

Seems like they might have needed to dip in GPA a smidgeon to keep that 173
I have a feeling this is exactly right. Esp with a drop in class size.

I think they gave out a slightly higher number of admissions offers as well, although I am not sure if that increase is commensurate with the number of applicants.
Someone from my obscure Alma mater got in last cycle/stole my spot
Anyway, less than a week until the application opens up. Who else is submitting at midnight?

Did you guys notice they made 60 more offers this last cycle than they did the year before? Anyone want to speculate on this?
