He got his rejection letter in the mail on Friday. My guess is that there's a 2nd reserve for those who got 1st reserve sometime before May and those that got held on May 1st then got placed on the Reserve list in the first week of June are now part of that 2nd reserve group too. This 2nd reserve group is the group that is getting reviewed at the end of June.

did anybody at all get admitted from the reserve at the end of may?

Wow. They must truly be at the limit for it to be this late and no one yet.

The thing is that Columbia tends to attract HYS rejectees/WListers so they have to wait for HYS to make the first move. At least that's what I would guess.

Got a rejection letter in the mail today. I live on the West Coast. Oh well! I've already committed to another school so I'm not too torn up. Best of luck to everyone still waiting!

Maybe I'm just hopeful but I think people who weren't put on second reserve and haven't gotten a rejection letter in the mail are going to get an email requesting an interview soon.

So I guess we're assuming at this point that if you didn't get the second reserve email a letter is currently making its way to your door bearing bad news?

I'm unsure. On one hand it would seem likely since it would be weird for them to randomly start interviewing people without even asking if they're still interested. On the other hand, it looks like a lot of people who didn't get the second email were people who were reserved after the first big wave and the committee needed more time to review their applications implying they were on the verge of acceptance.

So who knows! Or I might be reading too much into everything
