Posted on the 17th on GW Admissions' Twitter: "We do anticipate seats to become available in the next few weeks! We plan to be in touch with students on the waitlist."

Would you mind sharing what the email said? Was it an inquiry about your continued interest? Did it promise a date by which you would be receive an update about the status of the waitlist? Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Jessieg28, I don't believe that the email you received on the 18th was a general email, as I have received each of the general emails that others have received throughout the summer, and I didn't receive an email on the 18th. However, I also reached out to the Admissions Office on Friday to let them know that I am still interested in attending. Perhaps that preempted the email I would have received. Perhaps not. You may be one of the ones they are interested in offering a spot to, and wanted to quickly check and see if you are still interested. Just a thought.

I didn't get an e-mail but I also sent the admissions office an e-mail the day before the deadline reiterating my interest so its not crazy to think they wouldn't send an email asking... the implication there would be that they didn't read or pay attention to my e-mail which would look sorta bad for them.

Either way, I think them reaching our to Jessie is good news for her.

Thanks for sharing, this makes me optimistic considering the relative lack of WL movement so far. Hopefully we'll see some offers rolling into this thread soon. I have no idea what to expect given that LSN only has two WL>Accepted members from GW this season and they're both splitters. Anyone have any idea what the numbers were for the people who have already been accepted off the WL?

I received an email Friday that was gauging my interest once again. However, this time it said I was among a "handful of applicants" being considered for positions becoming available early next week. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I am hoping its a good sign! I would be willing to immediately accept their offer.

Yes that's the email I was referring to above, still waiting to see if they'll get back to me...
