I thought for sure there would be a few acceptances off the waitlist by now. Anyone hear word yet?? Seat deposits were due on the 1st, so there's got to be some openings here soon.

I hope we both get into G'town. But, much more than that, I hope I figure out who you are so I can make your eyes roll like that in real life.

Just like "Hey our deposit deadline was last Friday and it looks like we'll have some spots. But our first preference is to take people who we know will come." Little bit of timeline stuff followed, then basically said to keep in touch.

Did you receive this in addition to the email on April 23rd that said pretty much the same thing, minus the deadline passage comment? Or is this your first communique concerning this?

And yes I did a group interview during my admissions process, damn seems like so long ago haha

They said they would have a decision or update for me by Monday. Did y'all get that?

They also said we would have a week to put the deposit down after being told, how much is the deposit? I need to gather some scratch.

Shit. That's a pretty bad omen for those of us that didn't receive one, I'd say. Congrats to those of you that did though.

+1, except my interview during admissions was one-on-one. I haven't received an invite to a regional one since being wait-listed, though, in response to someone's question above.

Yup thats what mine said too. Full disclosure for those asking questions: I was a preferred waitlister but I honestly haven't sent them anything since I got that decision. I'd be a bit surprised if this e-mail means I'm being more seriously considered than a majority of people.

Did anybody that got the most recent email tell Georgetown at some point that they would definitely go if admitted? I didn't get the email just now (PWL) and I'm hoping it's because I already told them that I would definitely go if they let me in.

I just got the e-mail saying that they're extremely interested in my candidacy and asked me to email the director of JD admissions immediately to tell her if I'd come. They also said that they have little merit aid to give, just need based. Said they'd definitely be in touch by Monday and hope to have good news for me soon....I did the group interview Sunday.

Also very jealous of those receiving emails. I have made it clear that I would go if admitted, so I am hoping that is the reason some of us haven't heard (but I doubt it)

same here - i just got this e-mail, and i have not been in contact with them whatsoever. guess this confirms my sense that i got YP'ed :/ not sure how to respond if they only want to hear that we'd definitely attend, regardless of money...
