I would call again, and just say I don't know if my previous voicemail was received.

As someone who works a job where we get a lot of calls and voicemails, I can say that calling the day after you've left a message seems like over-kill to me. Every other business day is really as frequent as you want to get.

Guys & gals- if we're doing the interview in a casual place (Starbucks), what's appropriate attire for the alumni interview?

I was very specifically told that 'casual attire' was appropriate, and that the only reason he (my interviewer) would be wearing dress pants was that he was coming from work. I was as well so was in a dress and blazer but very much had the impression that jeans would have been acceptable.

I wouldn't risk jeans, I went in khakis and a dress shirt

Just got my acceptance in the mail!
First acceptance, btw. I sent my apps on 10/31 and did the interview two weeks prior to that.

Same here. Has anyone been dinged or waitlisted yet? I find it hard to believe that they would reject/waitlist people this early, but I find it about 5 times more improbable that they would accept me this early, or at all for that matter (163/3.8x, non-URM).

I went complete in August, haven't heard a peep since my interview. Vanderbilt is trolling me.

I went complete in August as well and just heard back a few days ago, so I wouldn't lose hope yet.

Mine was in a Starbucks. I did business casual. If yours was anything like mine, it will be extremely casual and more conversational than anything.

If you were to create a FedEx login after the package was created, would it still show up as a notification? I can't see anything, making me think either A) FedEx wont register a previously shipped package or B)...it was mailed in a small envelope...

No, I could be wrong but, I'm almost positive that Fedex keeps track of even a small envelope if it's heading to your address.
Hey when did you go complete with interview included?

I ment small envelope as in it wasn't mailed fed-ex, but USPS...meaning a wait list or rejection. But I found it and it appears to be the same 5 lbs package everyone else got. Holy !@&#, looks like I'm getting into Vandy!
I went complete end of September, then interviewed a weekish later.

How do you track without a reference number?
Has everyone who got in already submitted the app for law scholar merit awards?

How long are the answers to each question supposed to be?

As far as I remember there weren't really guidelines for length. Mine were about a paragraph each (although honestly after visiting Vandy and loving it so much I'm kind of wishing I hadn't already submitted and would've spent more time on it

)

Re: the law scholars application, I got the scholarship last cycle and my answers were between 130-260 words per section. Most were on the lower end, only a couple were around 250.

Extremely helpful, thanks!
If I indicated on the original app that I wasn't going to apply for it but am now changing my mind, do you think I could still submit it?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
