The 2.6/170 is me. I guess Texas *is* "median gaming" in the sense that the only reason they took me with a sub-25th GPA is that I also come with an over-75th LSAT. And don't forget that once you're below the 25th, it doesn't matter to their medians how FAR you are below the 25th.

Lastly, my uGPA is is almost twenty years old at this point, and since then I've gotten a master's in physics with a MUCH better GPA, and have been in the Navy for almost twenty years. Perhaps all the "holistic review" and "looking beyond the numbers" stuff isn't all BS?
Whatever you say, elvis costello. Nobody here can verify it anyway. Congrats on your admission to UT.
Oh get fucked buddy. This is not remotely surprising considering that he EDed and 170+ scores are pretty damn tough to come by for non t14 schools. I ended up with a ~60% scholly (of in-state) last cycle with the same LSAT score and a well below 25th GPA.

You'd just have to be pure stupid to think this guy was lying. Coming in to shit on his parade was very helpful, kudos.

Just saw you are the same moron who likes Dallas but hates Houston and Austin. Glad to know that I'll never have to run into your dumb ass at my school.

/late-night memo editing rage.

Edit: Oh my god you are one of those idiot reverse splitters who refuses to retake and now you are bitter that they admitted him while your tiny pink LSAT couldn't get in. I hate everything about the person you choose to be.

Someone with almost 3000 posts who would barely be considered an outlier? Yup.

Also I wouldn't have even noticed your post if you hadn't called him out in the most douchetastic way possible. "lucky to graduate college like some savant tommy boy" Go fuck yourself for judging someone else without ANY FUCKING CLUE of the circumstances that led to their GPA. All because you conveniently believe GPA should be more important due to being too lazy and/or stupid to get a LSAT score that would get you into a school worth attending.

It's difficult to defend the "statistical outlier" theory because this, I believe, is the first year Texas has a binding ED. There simply aren't enough data to be making such encompassing statements.

I had also mentioned median gaming, which nobody referenced because you all are too naive to turn away from a complete stranger with a good story. Whether the poster's lying or not, how can you defend them so vehemently? How did you survive childhood eating up others' stories? Did you wake up in a car this morning....oh, wait.

Of course it's median gaming, even if it is just a little bit. Splitters wouldn't have a chance at any decent school if some of them did not use that tactic. You're not going to get a pat on the head for spotting what everyone else already knows. Also, calling you out for having your head up your ass =/= defending someone else so you can get off your flawed-assumptions/ad hominem attacks high horse. HTH if you ever decide to retake and get that LR score up

Thanks breh. The more I think about it, the more I want to attend UT even over various T14s. Good chance I join you here next year!

When you get there make sure to check Scott's ug transcripts so you can verify his gpa for grungy.

I love living here in Austin and sure don't want to leave! I didn't ED here, but if I get in this is my second choice after my ED!
