In last year's thread, it looks like some people right at the beginning heard back within 3-5 days, and the time frame for a decision lengthened as more apps were submitted. Good luck guys! Hopefully I'll have mine submitted soon...

Also scanned last year's thread. These are my main takeaways:
Once people starting going from "Ready to review" to "review", the decision tended to come within a day or two.
Once it says "decision made," the person would receive an email at 5 pm eastern informing them of the decision (when the admissions office closes for the day).

Hey.. just one correction, many PT applicants get their response at random times (not just by 5pm eastern). Dean Hoye personally reviews them prior to notification and for example -- if he is travelling or something, you might get your acceptance at 3am.t14splitter wrote:Also scanned last year's thread. Does anyone know what the turnaround time is like for non-PT applicants early in the cycle? I'm here to party.

Re: Duke c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 Cycle)
It seemed like 5pm was the case at least for the first couple days of acceptances. My bet is that the 3am acceptances came at the end of the 10 day period when they needed to work late to finish apps.

Finally checking in! I hope to get my PT app in within the next two weeks or so. I can't believe that some of you guys will be officially accepted to law school within 10 days.
Is anyone else applying PT also shooting for T3 to T6? If so, are you applying to any other schools comparable to Duke if you get in?

I am doing something similar - applying to Duke PT, and MVPB as well, but not Cornell, Northwestern or G-Town. Definitely applying to HCCN, which is honestly my likely destination with my stats, barring some significant money from the mid-level T-14.Sourrudedude wrote:Finally checking in! Anyone else here throwing a Hail Mary via 10-day binding ED? Seems like a bunch of people on TLS got the PT invite and fee waiver, whereas I was one of just two (that I know of) who got the ED invite and fee waiver. The other was a fellow "reverse splitter." I will be submitting my app tomorrow night.
EDIT: Does anyone know what kind of applicants/numbers were accepted through the accelerated ED program last year?

App submitted but held until they get my dean's letter for c & f. Does anyone know if they reach out to my undergrad to get the letter or if I am supposed to?

Same here. Unbelievably excited. Hopefully the decision comes at 5 like they did the first day they went under review last year.

Obviously no guarantees, but last year the first group of people that went under review got decisions at 5 pm. After 2 or 3 days, it seemed like they started taking a few days to review. It could have just been a particularly strong first batch last year though.

Good luck to all PT applicants!
I received the packet Duke sent out yesterday. It was a very nice touch. I'm really excited to send in my app and get things rolling.
