WHAT'S IT ABOUT? :D
how horrible it was to be banned from tls for 30 minutes.

jk. it's about a resolution that ran through student senate last year and what i learned from it. i don't know if it is 100% usable but it a rough draft has been written and it is 247 words.

Just throwing it out there, if anyone wants help with 250's, feel free to send me a pm. I'd post some ideas here, but then Yale would get a dozen 250's with the same subject and might start asking questions

I thought Yale doesn't release decisions until after Feb/March. Does anyone know what the 1 and 8 acceptances are in Nov and Dec, respectively?

There were two other TLSers who were accepted before Xmas. Ti Malice(spell wrong?) and E something. Can't remember his username.

1) So, how did everyone come up with 250-worder ideas? Brainstorming session one night?

2) Is there a consensus on if the "I received help" thing is going to hurt people that paid for app/consulting help?

2) this book, http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0065RMP00/
A Yale graduated student stated it might be slightly disadvantaged.

I think it was in the first couple chapters.

Hmm, I thought I read somewhere on Asha's blog that while decisions could be made before Xmas, they aren't released until everyone else's decisions are released? Did these early admits have special circumstances?

Nah. If you look at their twitter account, they announced they would be accepting people.

I believe you're thinking of someone else. I didn't go complete until January (two years ago), and I was accepted a few weeks later in February.

But very strong applicants who apply early often get in before the holidays. The first wave of rejections usually doesn't hit until February.

This is what I'm wondering too. I had no problems coming up with ideas for my PS, but for some reason I'm stumped about what to do for my 250.

What's the deal with the post-college activities section? Should it be a whole page? A few short paragraphs? Should it be a story or a cover letter?

I just listed the activities, bulletpoint style.

Asha also wrote an opinion piece for some publication about demystifying admissions, and she ends up bashing consulting services as something less-well-off applicants can't afford and are therefore put at a disadvantage by. So there's that.

I found one where she addresses college activities and it said bullet points were fine, but wasn't sure if this applied to post- as well. Can we just copy these directly off our resumes too?

I was wondering this same thing. I'll have to look closer. I got the impression that this post-college activities was supposed to be more of an essay than anything.

Is everyone submitting a resume even when a lot of it overlaps with the college activities section?
I'm K-JD, so most of my resume fits right into 'college activities.'
I was wondering whether submitting a resume would be unnecessary in my case.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
