Checking in, went complete early January.

Filled out FAFSA and NeedAccess after filing my taxes yesterday. Called Hastings Financial Aid office to see when we can expect scholarship offers to be sent out and they said hopefully within two weeks of completing the two financial aid forms.

I'm almost done with filling out both forms from my estimated 1040 form and then I'm filing my taxes pretty soon. Does anyone know if they will send offers based on the estimated forms or will they wait until your taxes are filed and you update the forms?

I remember for undergrad in general, financial aid was often made based on estimates. So I would imagine they would do the same?

I assume so too. I'm just trying to figure out if that two weeks jamesta25 mentioned would be from the time you submitted your estimated forms or from when you update it after filing taxes.

Whats your top choice? And what kind of stats btw?

They don't. I saw in an earlier thread like 2015 class that they did but this year they didn't have one.

My top would probably be Stanford but that is a decent stretch. Stats: 3.3 GPA (With some crazy circumstances and a strong last 3 years) 165 LSAT and strong softs

I won't say it absolutely won't happen, but without URM and some amazing softs (did you cure cancer?) Stanford's probably not gonna happen. Berkeley's probably out with those numbers too.

Hey no dream crushing on Fridays lol. I'm lower than you on LSAT but higher on GPA. Strong softs as well. But either way its worth a shot at Berkeley and Stanford. We live once so we go with no regret! Am I right?

In that case Berkeley's not unrealistic. Stanford is still probably a stretch though unless you're URM, gauging data from LSN.

I think you'd be a lot stronger of a candidate but if we use Stanford's 25-50-75th percentiles then I think you're still around the 25th on both. I have a 160 and 3.8 (rounded up by a small fraction so I can't be identified ) But I'm out of contention. I think your LSAT score speaks a lot though about admissions cause it seems to me that schools love high LSAT scores. Have you considered USC as well? I think that your score is close to their 75th for LSAT?

I applied to USC and am waiting, granted I am not California or bust. I skipped Berkley because they appeared to have such an emphasis on GPA (according to aba numbers at least). Stanford, I hope, can see the story I wanted to tell.... or something like that. (and all of my numbers are only close to actual, no need to identify myself)

I wouldn't be so haste to judge berkeley. I've seen some LSN numbers that say they love LSAT quite a bit. (Although I hope the opposite since I'm a reverse splitter lol)
