Hey everyone, just a heads up that scholarship info is up today on BLS Connect. Only $20,000 for me... Not enough, hoping to be able to negotiate more once people start withdrawing. But figured you'd all be interested in checking. Good luck!

In via status checker 2/14. Was in review 11/21 - nothing in between. Does anyone know when Scholly info will come?

Same here, $20k. I'm assuming this is a one-time scholly and not per year..?mg1185 wrote:Hey everyone, just a heads up that scholarship info is up today on BLS Connect. Only $20,000 for me... Not sure... I guess we will get more details in the mail at some point in the near future. Even if it's per year, I don't think it'd be enough for me. My plan is to minimize my law school debt as much as possible. Given the cost of living in Brooklyn this definitely doesn't cut it. I have heard that scholarship amounts may go up as time goes on and people withdraw, even if you don't request it. So fingers are crossed for that. And maybe some need based grants, which I found out today will be decided in March... We shall see.ffoxes wrote:Same here, $20k. Under your profile, there is a scholarship field... I'm on my phone as well now, sorry I can't be more specific. But you should see it under your personal profile.bluegreen wrote:sorry - it may be b/c im on my phone, but where was scholly info listed in bls connect?mg1185 wrote:Not sure... Thanks for the help;
Mine is Richardson, I called and they said the amount is yearly, and renewable as long as you stay in top 80% of class.

Mine says Glasser as well-
bluegreen, did you call admissions or financial aid for that information? I'm considering calling as well to find out more details. Unless you've already done that rshw89? If not, I'll call and post whatever info I find out for you.

Congrats, btw. Top 80% isn't too bad of a stipulation at all!

I haven't called, and I'm not in a place where I could do so at the moment. I'd be very appreciative if you did.

41,000 for me. Please, PLEASE someone give me a firm confirmation that this is 1 year and renewable. It will change where I'm going to school, if it is.

Call admissions, they'll be able to let you know. I imagine they're getting lots of calls today.mip1011 wrote:41,000 for me. Please, PLEASE someone give me a firm confirmation that this is 1 year and renewable. It will change where I'm going to school, if it is.

So simple, but for some reason, not my first reaction. They were super nice, and seemingly very busy at the admissions office. Mine is Carswell (41,000), and is a top 80% stip. I asked just to make sure, and 80% stipulation is TOP 80, and they know how generous that is compared to a lot of schools.mg1185 wrote:Call admissions, they'll be able to let you know. I received the same and had to call admissions twice to make sure it was per year/that I wasn't dreaming. Huge game-changer for me, as well. Also heard that they voluntarily up scholarships later on in the cycle, so I'm hoping there will be some more good news coming our way (not greedy, just broke). Congrats!mip1011 wrote:41,000 for me. Hi,
has anyone applying to the part-time program received notice yet? My application has been in review since early October and no word yet. Personally, I find the lack of transparency regarding their application process uniquely unprofessional.

Damn, I have near identical numbers, if that is true I look forward to some scholarship money.mip1011 wrote:So simple, but for some reason, not my first reaction. I guess they are sending it out in waves? I was accepted awhile ago.
To the other person who received this scholarship, what were your numbers?
Thanks.

Re: Brooklyn Law c/o 2016
Got the Prince scholarship, 45k/year.
I expected a lot of money, but I was afraid I might not get it since my GPA won't really help them. I'm probably right on their median with my cumulative LSAC GPA. I guess they didn't mind.

If you look on your BLS connect profile, under personal profile, then click on "view personal profile". It should be about midway down the page.dirtrida2 wrote:Damn, I have near identical numbers, if that is true I look forward to some scholarship money.mip1011 wrote:So simple, but for some reason, not my first reaction.
