I don't know about last year's class, but for the year before (incoming Fall 2011/Class of 2014), the FT/PT day slots were full or overly so as of mid-June.

what was your GPA? I don't recommend taking the LSAT again unless you think you can raise yourself up to at least 160. 157 is pretty decent for GSU and if your GPA is at least median, they should re consider.

This is so wrong. Any points you add will put yourself in a better position to either get more $$ or get into schools you were rejected/WAITLISTED at.

It isn't that great to re take the LSAT and drop your score a couple of points OR even have it just stay the same. A 157 is competitive (Granted your GPA is 3.5 and above).

A drop in score will not hurt one bit, neither will a same score. The only cost is the admissions ticket and the time spent studying. The payoff can be in the tens of thousands of dollars.

OP has already been REJECTED, what you're advocating is just asking to be reconsidered without any new or better information. That's insane. A couple points can easily turn into an acceptance. And a 164 would put OP in position for UGA and a 165 for Emory. These scores are both obtainable for someone with a 157. More options are good. More scholarship money is good. What you are saying (don't retake) makes no sense for OP in this situation.

I say retake the LSAT. There is almost nothing to lose (except time and sanity). I say this because I've seen how shallow the admissions process is.. the myths about averaging LSAT scores and still judging off the bottom score seem all but false. Schools want their LSAT "medium" as high as possible and that single point difference can get in you in, and like the previous respondent said, a couple right questions could mean thousands of dollars.

I would imagine it's even more true this year when GSU is trying to raise it's LSAT median while applications are down.

I would call up Dr. Jester-George and just ask her even though you were dinged if you could raise your LSAT above a 160 if they would reconsider your application for this cycle. Worst she can say is no.

Yeah, via email and online checker... went into Prelim 3/8... I called up there yesterday and they said that Prelim could take up to 6 weeks...

I've made a thread in the class of 2016 board to discuss housing and what have you for those of us who will be attending.

Maybe set up a group meeting since gsu doesn't have a weekend ASD.

I would say I'm 75%+ likely to attend GSU, based on the fact that I'm would be doing the part-time evening program and could keep my day job. All the other schools (except GW, theoretically, where I got waitlisted) would require me to give up 3 years of salary, and if you figure that amount in to the cost of attendance ($150k+ after taxes) it's hard to justify either UGA or Emory. Emory would be almost $400k over 3 years if you factor in my loss of salary. UGA would be closer to $200-$250k. As a super splitter (2.3/167), I'm not getting much in merit aid from any of these schools, so I have to figure in something close to sticker price.

Georgia State is just too good of a deal, even if going UGA/Emory may have a better long term trajectory.

The other 25% is just Emory Law is very appealing to me, and I might just suck up the debt to go to my dream school.
