But yeah, deposit date is May 1st. I'm undecided right now; going to visit Wed-Friday and I'll make my decision after that. Scholarships for waitlist admits are supposed to come out early this week, so we'll see how that plays out.

Lol.... if those of us without the email knew what to do, we would be doing it too....... Sadly we (especially Jam and I) have no idea what to do beyond ED and send multiple LOCIs to get that email/acceptance, as we have both tried. Sorry bro.

Last year, at least two 3.2/177s got off the waitlist in May. I don't think it's unusual that Chi is taking splitters, just unusual that it's taking people so early. I'm hoping the earliness bodes well for people who want to get off the waitlist though.

I think it does; it means they got a lower yield than expected, which bodes well for those still waiting. Just looking at LSN it seems that only half the people accepted off waitlist choose Chicago; they might have already compensated for that by overaccepting waitlists now, or they might have accepted enough to fill out their class, but will accept even more off the waitlist after this round.
Basically, there's still hope. Don't give up yet fellow waitlisters.

We've still got a while. Most law schools seem to be in finals already, but we have like 5 weeks left or something (I don't remember how much exactly).

Just got accepted off the waitlist via e-mail. Holy shit. Sorry about all my whining last week. I just... wow. Don't know what to do at this point. Chicago is in a whole different league than any other schools I have been accepted to.
