Is the scholly info just for the people admitted in the first round?

This is from the Fin Aid FAQ on their site:

How do I apply for Scholarships?
You will be considered for scholarships when admitted. There are no extra forms that you need to submit to the Law School. However, if you would like us to consider your financial need when determining your award, please make sure to complete the Need Access Application.

So it sounds like we didn't need to turn in Need Access to hear about a scholarship.

Okay. I got in on Feb 11th so I'm crossing my fingers that I get to hear back with this group. If not, then good luck to the first batch of admits :)

Not sure... did you get the "University of Chicago Law School Reminders" email?
Chicago Law email wrote:We anticipate that scholarship awards will be released the week of February 20. You will receive an email with a letter indicating whether you have been awarded a scholarship. Please note that we do not differentiate awards into merit- and need-based.

Just curious, did everyone receive a phone call from Ann Perry about a week or so after receiving the acceptance email?

I'm thinking tomorrow afternoon. Before that would be great, though.

Checking in. Jelly of people on scholarship watch - I got into UChi relatively recently, so my fin aid forms are still a mess. But I've been really finding the thread informative, and Chicago's LRAP is making me seriously consider the school.

And re: someone else's question about getting Perry's call after the e-mail, it seems they've been doing it this way for more recent admits. E-mail first, then call a week later - probably for issues of expediency.

Good luck to people waiting for scholarship info! But leave some for the rest of us, eh? ;)

Email, with a letter as an attachment.

The emails were sent mid-afternoon (around 3:30 EST) last year.

Do people who don't get a scholarship get emails too? The previous email we got said we'd get notified "whether" we get a scholarship.

You get an email either way - at least, that was the practice last year.

+1

In addition, the timing of that Cooley email was not appreciated.

Can anyone remind me what concrete evidence we have to expect the scholly email this week?

An email sent to accepted students on February 8:
We anticipate that scholarship awards will be released the week of February 20. You will receive anemail with a letter indicating whether you have been awarded a scholarship. Please note that we do not differentiate awards into merit- and need-based. Everyone will also receive a preliminary student loan package with this email.

Just the email that said that they anticipated releasing scholly info this week.
