It was until the whole bar passage debacle. Now I'm not sure I want to go if the school's in the middle of recalibrating its academic program.suits00 wrote:I hope you hear from them soon. Is CUNY your top choice?

Don't feel bad, I submitted mine on 12/10. loltiymay wrote:Submitted my application 1/13 and been in review since shortly after that. I've been seeing all these acceptances for people who applied after me, congrats to all of you! Still waiting for mine though, lol.

Actually I did, email told me to check my online status checker...suits00 wrote:Congratulations! That's really great! Did you receive an e-mail from CUNY Admissions telling you that there was an update to your online status checker prior to finding out you got accepted?Jante05 wrote:Sent 01/07, in 02/03. Will CUNY still be your top choice if June comes around and they are still f___ing off with your application? Apparently, this is common.fatpeopleavenger wrote:Me but have to wait for the Feb LSAT score to get a decision from them.Jante05 wrote:Does anyone else here have CUNY as their top choice?

So I emailed to briefly my express interest and ask if they have an approximate time frame during which I can expect a decison and they basically very nicely said that they have no idea... typical CUNY lol

Re: CUNY Law C/O 2015 Applicants
Depends on what I get on my LSAT. I'm not going to rush into law school if the situation isn't right. I've been accepted elsewhere but at this point for me, they're not the schools I want to attend so I could either wait it out for CUNY, or retake the LSAT.suits00 wrote:Will CUNY still be your top choice if June comes around and they are still f___ing off with your application? I know it is common for CUNY to be a little behind and I would be lying if I said that is ideal. But for me, CUNY is the perfect school as I want to practice either criminal or immigration law, cheap, terrific clinics, and I get to remain in Queens.

Kess, I've seen numbers slightly worse than yours on LSN and they've been accepted. Maybe you should write that LOCI.Kess wrote:So I emailed to briefly my express interest and ask if they have an approximate time frame during which I can expect a decison and they basically very nicely said that they have no idea... typical CUNY lol

Are you familiar with CUNY's Pipeline program? If your Feb. LSAT isn't high enough, the program might be a great opportunity for you.

Yes I am. Do I want to chip in over a grand and take the risk of not getting in? No. I was scoring mid-upper 150s on practice exams (strictly timed + experimental) but hopefully this time it is somewhere in that ballpark.suits00 wrote:fat-

As long as you have a 3.0+ and a 150+ and you wrote a lot about public interest, you should feel relatively confident.fatpeopleavenger wrote:Not feeling too confident, but thanks. Hopefully.suits00 wrote:Oh wow--you will be fine.

Not a big deal. They told me to check my status checker. And I think I was in review since 1/12.. Good luck with your app!

Just got rejected. Although, I had no intention of going I still thought I was going to be accepted. Had a 152/ 3.06 and felt my PS was PI oriented.
Best of luck to all.

Thanks. That's the only school that really matters to me at this point. Any thoughts on how I can express my interest?Kess wrote:Well at least you didn't get rejected from Buffalo. Sorry to hear about your CUNY decision. Hopefully it means you were meant to attend Buffalo.NYC KID wrote:Thanks. That's the only school that really matters to me at this point. Any thoughts on how I can express my interest?
I know Letters of Continued Interest are common after being waitlisted, but I can't say whether or not it's a good idea to send one while your file is still pending. It's probably safe to say that they know you are interested in their school and any e-mail you send them now will probably not sway their decision one way or another. You've probably done all that you can at this point. Hopefully you will get good news soon.

Actually, I was waitlisted at UB today. Do I draft a LOCI now or give it some time?suits00 wrote:Sorry to hear about your CUNY decision. Sorry, I must have missed that.NYC KID wrote:Actually, I was waitlisted at UB today. Do I draft a LOCI now or give it some time?
I would sent out the LOCI right away thanking them for reviewing your application and placing you on their waitlist. Are you familiar with what should be in the LOCI?
