Re: University of Arizona c/o 2015 (2011-12 Cycle)
I just spoke to someone in admissions. They won't give status over the phone, the letters went into the mail today and should arrive sometime next week. He also said that the decisions were acceptances, rejections, or waitlist.

Haven't got "official letter" but it's a good sign if your status checker requirements have updated...

Did they say if they would be updating the status checker?sunnydays16 wrote:I just spoke to someone in admissions. Decision letter sent. 12/21/2011sunnydays16 wrote:Does your status say if a decision letter has been mailed and if so, when?Gail wrote:wtf? are traffic tickets really that bad?
No updates.
Ugh. I'm above their median GPA and their 75th LSAT.
I must look like a real bum.

Decision letter has been sent 12/19 on the status checker seems to be a little misleading then.

My decision letter date is 12/21. Im above 75% for GPA, at 25% for LSAT and have lots of life experiences.
Maybe there was something to the dates. It is clear that the 12/19 are acceptances as their statuses have added requirements. As for the 12/21 and the 12/23, we must be either rejections or waitlist.
And--I forgot to ask about the status checker and whether it would be updated to reflect acceptance, etc.

Im a 12/19'er and I don't have the added requirements......still think the date doesn't have anything to do with the decision, but I think the added seat deposits etc. do.

Yeah, I don't think the dates matter so much. But, the seat deposit stuff definitely gives us a good idea of where we stand.

I agree. Im also skeptical about the added requirements. I don't doubt that people have them, I just doubt that they've been implemented for everyone who was accepted.benito wrote:Im a 12/19'er and I don't have the added requirements......still think the date doesn't have anything to do with the decision, but I think the added seat deposits etc. do.

Still no added requirements.

Mine says DR 12/9. Under review on 12/6. Hoping for a waitlist I guess. I was only under review for 3 days. 25% gpa, median LSAT, 3.7 MS gpa. Soooo frustrating since there didn't seem like there was anything to warrant such a quick rejection.sunnydays16 wrote:UGH. Now my status reads: Decision Rendered. Current Status Date: 12/20/2011

Been sending in withdrawals. Just did for Arizona. I'm not even going to bother looking at the thing. Good luck, everyone.

updated to 'decision rendered' with no new requirements either. So the hope that they just had not entered them yet for some people goes out the door. cycle not going great so far.....

I think we can all safely choose to not jump to conclusions until we get the letter in the mail. It's the Friday before Christmas - they probably just want to get out of there. Who knows how thorough they were with updating. What's more strange is why they would sit on the decisions for so long. I'm curious why my decision only took 3 days - seems waaay too quick.

Updated to decision rendered without the new requirements. Guess I'm just hoping for a wait list now.

my requirements took a few days to update after my decision was rendered.
also, it doesn't show up under seat deposits, just under requirements... which was strange

Didn't everyone's decision rendered govkgarrett wrote:my requirements took a few days to update after my decision was rendered.

Today? I think if it wasn't under requirements, it would already have done so by now...

Congrats! I hope I get one today as well!anozira wrote:Arizona's acceptance package is awesome.
