Re: Pitt c/o 2015
Accepted today via status checker!! I was UR since 10/19 and was getting worried. My numbers are WAY above medians, but it was my first application (and only one submitted before the Oct LSAT) so my PS was TERRIBLE and resume had some mistakes. Hopefully this means movement for everyone else soon!

Are you a URM? Just curious, I don't mean that in an offensive way.

Re: Pitt c/o 2015
I should also probably add that I emailed admissions a couple times in the last month and they NEVER got back to me. I have a 9 point jump in my lsat scores (crazy story) and will hopefully go up again with my Dec score, so I asked them if they would like an addendum (thinking maybe that's why I was UR for 7 weeks when I was getting other acceptances in less than 2). So I think they're just really slow and having issues

^ really? that's too bad; as slow as they've been with getting me to complete/under review, every time i've contacted admissions they've gotten back to me really quickly. definitely faster in that aspect than any of my other schools

I have been Application Received since 11/9, but they have everything and aren't waiting for scores/LORs. Should I email them to follow up? I've visited the school and everything so I'm very interested.

I'm in the same boat revived 11/20. Based on what other people said they are just slow. If you really want Pitt perhaps call or email in a week or to and ask if they are missing anything? Last cycle this worked for some people but I think it was later in the game.

Theyll give you 14k a year and hope that you fall for it. Wait to get better schollies and hold it against them. Theyll prolly cave with those numbers. That with instate tuition, its not a bad choice.ThreeRivers wrote:In via status checker

Yea, its been an internal debate of mine if I should go to Pitt for cheap or a lot higher ranked school for awhile... REALLY going to be a tough decision for me, I won't liebport hopeful wrote:Theyll give you 14k a year and hope that you fall for it. Wait to get better schollies and hold it against them. 14k scholly for a school that charges 27k in-state is not a good deal with your numbers. ask for more.

Ya I'm in the same boat. I got in two weeks ago 3.4/163 coming from Cornell and they offered me 14k so I am going to wait until I hear about scholarships from some of the other schools I got into and levy them against pitt to see if they'll give me more. But ya its gonna be a tough decision whether I go to pitt for cheap (if they fork over more scholly money) or go to a better school for a bit higher price.

For those of you trying to get more, know that its is possible, I know people who have done it, but its not a lot. Dont set yourself up for a full ride, or anything even close.

Re: Pitt c/o 2015
167 / 3.44
Only 12 k a year with a 3.00 stip
I was torn between going to a much higher ranked school or going to Pitt for cheaper (I love Pittsburgh).
Was really hoping for a nice big scholly... It doesn't look like I'll be attending
Even with with in-state so far I've also received acceptance from Minnessota / Washington and Lee
With the scholarships they've given me, the tuition will cost me 20 thousand for both... Pitt will now cost me 16 k.. not really that big of a difference
