None of the EDs I applied for were binding. EA/ED whatever- the point is that I submitted my applications by the early deadline.

To those saying WTF: I was in the Honors College and earned my Bachelors in 5 semesters- I started taking senior level courses my freshman year and conducted undergraduate research. My UGPA was 3.59 and LSDAS GPA was 3.65 but I was sick my last semester so my GPA dropped considerably.

Okay, fair enough. I guess I am that transparent. But should applicants be at a disadvantage for the simple fact that they come from more priviledged backgrounds? Many of us studied hard and played by the rules, but just happened to be born and raised in environments more conducive to academic success. And some of these individuals have significantly higher that a 154 and 3.3

I understand that. But, that's why law schools take a mix of students who have faced socio-economic diversity and candidates that haven't. You know how most law schools have a diversity essay? That's because law schools need someone who can bring diverse viewpoints to their community. If you played by the rules and worked hard, then the fact that those from disadvantaged backgrounds or those that are URMs are being accepted won't affect your chances. I don't know what your numbers are, but if they are that much better, you should be confident you will be accepted. Just know that when people read about competitive sharks in law school, you exude all the qualities of them by commenting like that. Try to remember that you aren't a robot. Law school is a community, so you should learn how to be a part of it, not ostracize yourself from it.

I have to empathize with Free Lolita somewhat. If you look on LSN, there are a lot of people who had upwards of 3.7 for UGPA and in the 160s for LSAT and were rejected from American. Kind of makes you question the fairness of the entire thing. As for me, I have 3.81 (LSDAS) and 162 and I have stood at complete for over a month, meaning they haven't even looked at me yet. This school is my first choice; as such, I can't say I am totally thrilled with what I have read thus far. I didn't want to have to take the LSAT again, but a February sitting is looking more probable for me each day if it augments my chances of getting in here.

I am a 1L at WCL,

People tend to live all around, it depends on personal preferences. Most 1L's tend to stay near campus, Tenley Town, Van Ness and N.Bethesda seems to be the most popular. Upper years tend to move further away because it tends to be cheaper. PM me you preferences and I can tell you some more locations.

Also, I'll take any question about the school or the area. PM me or post and I'll answer them.

Just noting, we have simillar numbers and both applied part time. I reviewed AU-WCL's websiteand found the following in their FAQ:

When will I receive a decision?
Decisions are made on a weekly basis late October –-May. Not all applicants who applied early in the process will receive the first decisions. If your academic record places you towards the middle of our applicant pool, our admissions committee may hold your file to compare it with more of our applicants.

Our numbers, according to their indexing formula, are at the middle of their applicant pool.
