Still waitlisted at a dream/reach school.... :|

How were you waitlisters notified of your admission? Via phone call...status checker...e-mail?

Me too! On 3 WL still no word. I think a lot of school admitted students deadline for the last seat deposit is 6/15 so hopefully we will see some movement 6/17 (That would be good Friday/into the weekend news!) or at least a lot of decisions the following week. (6/20-6/24). It would be great to have at least a month of 'sort of' peace of mind knowing where we are going to definitely go.

Phone call, voicemail, and email from Chicago. I think they'll go lengths to let you know because most schools will want a quick response when you're in off the waitlist.

I just posted this elsewhere, but i thought maybe the people ITT might have some insight for me:

I just missed a call from the school where I committed before getting off Berkeley's wait list. I didn't answer the call and there was no voice mail left, but it got me thinking... will I be flagged for being currently technically double enrolled?

When offered a spot off Berkeley's waitlist, I immediately verbally committed, and my status checker was changed to "Definitely will enroll." I'm not sure if that take the place of my official Statement of Intent to Enroll for the Admissions Office. I have been waiting to officially withdraw from my first schools until all my ducks are in a row with Berkeley, i.e. admission email and packet received, getting my log-in to the admitted students' website and email, etc.

Will this week lag time be a problem? I'm just worried that I'm violating LSAC rules in some way and becoming ineligible to enroll anywhere and both schools end up reneging my admission... (just writing that out made me realize how paranoid it must sound...right?)

If you're clearly acting in good faith, you have nothing to worry about – this policy is not meant to penalize people in a scenario like yours. Establish a paper trail by sending an e-mail spelling out your intent if you're especially concerned.

Call or email both schools to tell them your intentions. Pretty simple-if you let them know, there won't be any issues.

Thanks for the input. I did end up talking to both schools today, so they are both aware of where I stand. And everyone was really nice about it, which is reassuring.

In off the U Texas waitlist.

Thoughts on (probably) no scholarship at U Texas vs. 76.5k (25.5k annually) at SMU?

Your going to be in slightly more debt at UT, but I say with complete confidence to go there. #1 in the state.
