I'm going! I'll take any excuse to spend an extra day at Stanford.
Congrats everybody who just heard the news! It seems like it was a busy week for them.
+1. I'll definitely be there.
Skippin Minority Preview Day to give Berkeley one last chance to wow me. But I'll catch up with some of you on Friday night for the parties

I'm also thinking of deferring for a year and I sent an e-mail today asking about the procedure. The website was pretty vague. Also, how soon after your admittance does Stanford generally send financial aid packages?

I was admitted on Saturday, and they're evaluating my package as we speak (write?). They said I should know in the next few days.

I e-mailed the office of financial aid to expedite my financial aid package (I was admitted last week) in light of NYU's RTK deadline, and they got back to me within 24 hours. I am very impressed.

yeah, i also got my fafsa and need access in pretty early, though i had an addendum that required additional review. overall, the staff at stanford have been incredibly helpful and generous.
at berkeley, i'm used to administrators sighing, pausing, then saying "no" whenever i ask them question. best case scenario they just pass me on to talk to somebody else.

I'm a little late in responding, but I submitted a request to defer a couple of weeks ago. Did you decide to request a deferral, too?

I met two deferral students from the 2009-2010 cycle. It seems easy enough.
