Thank you solarae. By the way, I saw your question regarding Toledo, and I can tell you they did the same with me. I got my packet with all that stuff, but did not receive a scholarship offer from them.

Re: West Virginia 2011
I'm pretty much set on going to WVU. I asked the admissions staff about the admitted students day and they said there will be a luncheon on April 9th. We should be getting letters saying that at some point... Did anyone try to get in to their MIX email yet? The letter about MIX says our WVUID was printed on the admittance letter but mine is definitely not on there.

Your WVUID should be listed on your "class of 2014" page. I got set up in mix fine.Tappie wrote:I'm pretty much set on going to WVU. Re: West Virginia 2011
I read that the other day and was hoping it would somehow appear on there by now, but it's not on there either. Maybe this is their way of telling me that my acceptance was a mistake... I even tried the "find my wvuid" link with my ss# but it said I don't exist. I'll have to call Monday I guess. Thanks for the help anyways!BlazedBillyMaze wrote:Your WVUID should be listed on your "class of 2014" page. I got set up in mix fine.Tappie wrote:I'm pretty much set on going to WVU. Your ID should (I believe) be a 9 digit number that starts 700-XXX-XXX.
Also, the mix interface is absolutely terrible. If you use gmail, set it up to import into gmail and just use it from there. If you don't use gmail, use gmail.

I don't have an id number on the top of the 2014 page either. I am guessing i will just continue to use the same one as I have for undergrad, and also use the same mix as i do for undergrad.

Re: West Virginia 2011
I just rcvd my mix ID from general admissions last week. It didn't come w/the info the law school sent. I haven't tried to use it yet, but assumed it would be fine since its the same ID I had as an undergrad. Is MIX really that bad now? They rolled it out my sophomore year of undergrad and I never really had any problems. Actually, there were bigger problems w/people not getting their email fwded from MIX to gmail or yahoo. They've probably "improved" it to the point that its useless

Yes, mix is terrible for email. The page loads unbearably slow. It got noticeably worse about two years ago when they gave it a makeover. I just have my email fowarded to my blackberry and now I scarcely use mix.

Damn, I'm still waiting. Went into review on January 21st and it changed to in review February 25th. WVU is my last school so I hope I hear something soon.

I applied to WVU (last week), but my package will be incomplete until I get my LSAT score later this week or next week. Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted!

Just considering your numbers alone, I would think that you should hear something anyday now.

Looked at the status checker today and got in. Hopefully they will send a good scholarship in the mail.WVUguy11 wrote:Just considering your numbers alone, I would think that you should hear something anyday now.

Good to hear. I went into review 2/2, so I should be hearing something soon. 157, 3.62, so I'm expecting an acceptance, but still hate the wait.mpj_3050 wrote:Looked at the status checker today and got in. Yep, I would say Mpj probably has a scholarship letter behind his acceptance in the envelope, and Beeman will be accepted within the next week and a half.

I don't know man. It's pretty late in the cycle. There is a mandate about OOS enrollment that caps it around 30%. Plus they threw out a lot of money during the first round of acceptances in Dec. It all depends on the yield at this point for both scholarships and acceptances. Nevertheless, I get the picture that WVU is a safety school for a lot of people. I hope you are referring more to Mpj's scholarship than my acceptance. I'd hope that being around the 75th for LSAT and close for GPA would hold me over even though I'm a little later in the cycle.BlazedBillyMaze wrote:I don't know man. It's pretty late in the cycle. They should like the Ruby connection. I have some friends finishing up their last semester of nursing rotations(?) at Ruby, and one that finished there in Dec, now works at Mon Gen.
